Not sure how/if to handle this one: Contacted a well-reviewed (but not much recently) lady to set up a time on an upcoming business trip. A few phone calls, a few emails, details more or less ironed out. She seemed to be having issues with her phone which made it impossible to call her. Since she called me (obviously from a different number) & emailed me the day I flew there, I thought everything would be OK. She said she would call after I landed. And, nothing.
Is that something that should be in a review ("Don't know" to everything)? Let it go? Thoughts?

You can name the person on your local board, or the board where the meeting was supposed to take place however, and warn others not to fall for this.

It doesn't sound like you really had the meeting set in stone.

How recent you ask?? Nevermind.

Your use of the words "More or less" bothered me. Sorry. You weren't sure if you had a date? Do ya' think SHE WAS??

I'd be careful of accusing falsely(did I just say that? I must have calmed down)

Hotel name and address - check
Date & time of arrival specified - check
Length of stay defined and donation - check

The more or less part was from her as I had to spell it out each time I talked to her. Phone communication was made more difficult because of her phone service saying the number was "unreachable".

So I guess the vagueness comes from the my uncertainty that she would actually show and having no definitive method of communication in case of problems. So you can imagine my...disappointment when she NCNS even after talking and emailing that day!

I've never had that with my limited other providers. For them it was like an appointment set and confirmed.

That's why I wonder if anything should be said as a warningto others because, at 10PM that night, I had NO backup plans available!

But you didn't.  I'm not blaming you. She sounds a bit spacey and you payed the price for it. In any event, it wasn't a true NCNS. I travel a lot for work and I generally see ladies when I do.  If tihnks are not crystal clear in the planning and communication department I move on to another girl or call an agency.

You know, that's becoming apparent to me. I had done a lot of searching and she just sounded like "The One" and I wanted it to be to the point that I ignored the clues along the way. I was actually doing some alternate planning that morning but stopped when I did talk to her. I figured that the odds had gotten significantly better, but it still never felt like a solid plan.

So, back to my other question, I don't like "bus driving" her, but I'd hate for this to happen to other gents either. Would you post on the regional board or not?

This guy settled on location, time of appt, length of appt and donation with the provider.  If this isn't NCNS, then I am at a loss as to how to define it.

In my opinion, and having only heard one side of the story,  there is nothing to post about.

Have the lady agree on the proposed place & time.  What if his flight had been delayed or cancelled?  Would he then be considered NCNS?  This falls into the grey area, of being a proposed plan that she'd agreed to in principle "pending confirmation".  It's a shame he did not have a backup plan.

I recently had a tentitive plan to meet a Fav lady on my vacation.  I informed her of my travel plans & I had the green light & we were looking forward to it.  When the actual trip happened, I e-mailed the day before (got no response...  but was not concerned)  I called the morning of our planned meeting to confirm the meeting.  She picked up the call...  told me she was not home; because of a family emergency she was out of state.  I made & confirmed a back up for the following day.  I later learned that the first lady's sister had died suddenly.
My vacation could not have been rescheduled if I wanted to.  I had a nice time behind door #2.  I hope to see the first lady again when I am in the area.

I posted a similar question a while back and everyone reminded me that things come up and NCNS happens alot in this hobby. Im a provider and have alot of guys NCNS... I also every now and then NCNS because I got a bad vibe from the guy or I googled his info n something came up or his screening was a little iffy etc.... I ALWAYS call, email, or text to let the guy know I will not be coming tho and I try to call as soon as possible so he can find another lady. Things happen! I say give her a break. This is a reminder to you guys... No one likes NCNS! lol... xoxox

Stargirl,
I hate to correct a lady but if you don't choose to see a client for whatever reason (and it's definately your right & your choice).  But it is not NCNS (No Call, No Show) if you politely notify him as you say you do.

The world would be a nicer place if everyone afforded the courtesy of a call.
