I noticed on a thread below... that money had to exchange hands to post a review.  What about no shows..... how is this info sent out?  This lady had good reviews... but I got no explanation... no reasons.  No contact to cancel, no contact to explain what happened.

There is a reason "no shows" can't be reviewed as such.  They're called emergencies.  Now, I'm not declaring that this is what happened in your situation, but it is quite possible.  You'd be surprised how much "drama" is in some of these girls' lives.  If your lady had good reviews, chances are she cares about them and will contact you (provided you remembered your manners when you attempted to contact her as to what happened) to protect her reputation, and to hopefully get your business.  If you feel this is not the case, and that the lady has just blown you off completely, then you can post your experience on her regional board to the tune of:  "Has anyone else got stood up by (blank)?  She no-showed me, and after several patient attempts to contact her, I've still not heard from her.  Does anyone know if she's O.K.?  I hope nothing bad happened to her."  Usually, a queery like this will get answered quickly by either someone else in your shoes, or one of her best customers who'll state that she's not the "no-show-kind" and/or he'll clue you in to something that may have caused the situation.  And sometimes this type of thread will get a quick reply from the lady herself.  Perhaps apologizing, or offering some excuse.  At any event, don't be too quick to act.  Give it at least a couple of weeks.

It’s called "Rewarding & protecting unprofessional conduct"

For several years I have read on these boards every conceivable excuse by providers and their sycophants as to why there isn't a 'Black list' of sorts on their profile for unprofessional or discourteous conduct in regards to "Flaking" on clients.
Although many providers tend to have lives wrought with drama I personally can't see even if they suddenly have to take their kid to the hospital emergency room why a simple 30 second cell phone call to alert a scheduled client of the situation is so beyond their ability.
Most every other profession where the practitioner earns $250+ per hour seems to muster this simple courtesy. For some reason however 'Providers' are given Carte Blanch to treat their scheduled clients with as much contempt and discourtesy as they wish without any permanent recorded notations as to their unprofessional conduct or etiquette.

Many hobbyists are equally disrespectful in their lack of phone etiquitte and consideration to the provider’s time and schedule. The providers however tend to keep records of these transgressions and a hobbyist can soon find himself on an internet Do-Not-See(DNS) list shared amongst the providers if 'he' shows a pattern of flaking on appointments.

I guess this disparity can be summed up by this old proverb.

It's been two weeks.  I waited for just that reason, to see if there was an emergency.... car wreck... something.  I was very polite with a voice mail and an e-mail asking what happened.... showed concern.  She has recently posted on another discussion board.... so she is ok.  She has reviews on TER.... but there is no regional board for her city.  Stuff happens, I can understand a cancelation.... even a no show for good reason.  But no response, no contact.... isn't very professional.

Well, in your situation you're correct that it's very unprofessional behavior on her part.  Now what to do?  1)Consider yourself lucky!  That's right.  You're lucky to have NOT SEEN this bitch!  Yeah, she may have lots of good reviews.  Some may even be well earned.  She could be bipolar or something.  I know there are providers out there with PAGES of good reviews, who have managed to get virtually every negative review of them removed by scaring the shit out of the reviewers to the point that the reviewer requests that TER remove his review.  Granted this probably doesn't occur that often, but it does happen!  Assume that her good reviews are either a reflection of her service before she burned out, or are all completely bogus.  YOU know the truth!
2) Let it go.  If she's that unprofessional, you don't need her as an enemy.  So don't come "out of the blue" and piss her off.
3) Move on.  Find someone else.

Only once did the provider get back in touch with me to say they were in a bad accident.  It was the truth too, because they had a real bad bruise on their leg when I saw them a few days later.

As to the other three I have no idea at all.  I kept trying to call days later and got no answer or return call.  All continued to have sites up and some even continue posting on regional boards.

I decided to just let it be one for the ages.  I  had seen all but one of them previously too, which is really the hard thing to grasp.

Move on; it's the best advice there is.

That's not so bad.  I suppose it varies by location, but where I am it's never real unlikely.
