Catchy subject ? Well it's true. Newbs take a look at this link. You'll definitely learn something from it. It's not a bad idea to take a look at the Legal Corner board every once in awhile.
I hope I would have had the good sense to not let him into the apt. If he kept banging I'd have told him I was calling 911, and then done it if he hadn't left.
This is why gentlemen should use TER to do their homework, fully researching the provider in advance... only see well reviewed ladies. Also avoids scams, you know what she looks like (and if the pictures are really her). Gives a good idea of what services are really offered.
This is why hobby phones & hobby emails are such a good idea.
This is why it is a poor idea to invite a lady to your home before you have had several successful meetings.
Finally, she was outside... Why open the door when you know they are POd? They might damage the premises from the outside... or come back later to do so... but to essencially agree to a physical altercation is a really bad idea.
There's lots of activity posted on the Chicago board to read. I did post and sent him here so hope he's reading more posts on this subject. If he had visited here to start with many of the mistakes he made may not have happened. Nice party about the newbie board is you get to learn from others mistakes. This one could have been deadly
Florida has a "stand your ground" law, definitely would have protected the home owner if he chose to blow the pimp away. Great law, should be a national law. Gives you the right to protect yourself, and that, without the special law, is not a given.
and it made national news. Him and his friend called escorts to come visit them. The Ladies where not together. One went in first with his date while the other waited until his arrived a short time after. He was the homeowner and while enjoying himself in another room there was commotion in the front room. He opened his door to see two strange men in his house that didn't belong there. The men where threatening his friend and he pulled his gun and used it. The man was not found at fault in any way.
I think Texas never questions protecting yourself in your home. It should be that way everywhere.
I am a gun owner & for many years was armed on a daily basis... and continue to have firearms accessible if needed. The problem with the use of deadly force... is that it is possible & even likely to be charged. The slightest difference in a split second decision will be analized over many hours by those who have never been in the line of fire. Even if you win, the costs can bankrupt you, cost you everything you own. It is good tactics to avoid a deadly force confrontation if possible... without placing yourself in greater risk. Situational awareness is your friend. If the battle comes to you, hopefully you'll be in the best tactical position & the best legal position, too.
You'll note the young widow who saved herself & her son: baricaded the door, armed herself in a strong position, and fired on the man who broke down the door & forced his way inside. It is sad that she was forced to defend herself... and will have to live with the result. I hope she is not too troubled because it was not she who brought the fight to her threshold.
He was just reposting someone elses post, from another board. Your comment should say "He could have negotiated" instead of "You." Just pointing it out.
G2's experience is a perfect illustration that a man that normally eats at the upper levels of society can be laid low if he cross paths with criminals that have nothing to loose and likely view jail as a place to get free meals and boarding.
