they will use an innocent reason, like verifying an appointment, and if connected to your extension, they will prob hang up before you answer.  She now knows you really do work there, which is all she needs to know.

Convince yourself it isn't a detective or police officer . Or mad man on the loose. It can be re assuring its at least not a detective out to make an arrest. I am sure many crazed lunatics have nine to fives, just look at some the guys who post on here.

Here s how I handle this one.  
If its say your work number and if you google it a legit business appears , then it's a go for me I will feel sorta re assured its not just well if its just a random cell n a random person answering,  
It could obviously still mean the client is a detective or police.
And your intact just callin up his partner askn for work reference. If you can't google the number n find a real business, the work reference with just another random cell n no other info. That's not for me gonna make me feel at ease.  
I have had many fill out reservation form n then there's a link to web site they just created in 2013 , for what appears to be a fake business, then a number which leads to again same guys machine,  
That's not really gonna be convincing, and usin that method in itself . I d def over look them and respond to some one with some better verification like a long list of reviews n whitelists I know I know most ladies don't accept that. I would accept it, as long as I could message the ladies he reviewed and say hey have u met Tom white n is he ok.
