Excerpted from an excellent post by Yanvrknow!

For the Guys:  Business is business, and no matter how sincere a provider may seem to be, keep this shit in perspective!!!….I know this isn’t easy at times when you have spent time with a great gal….but once again….keep this shit in perspective!!!  Give only what you are willing to walk away from without losing your mind and bank account….easier said the done for some of us….

For the Gals:  If you find a guy that you are comfortable with and he treats you well, keep the BS in check….sure inflate his ego…we all like that, but within reason….If he is having a great time during the appointment, he will keep coming back without all the additional BS…and know that a vast majority of the guys aren’t looking for wives in this business…..as I assume the gals aren’t looking for husbands either…just my opinion….

Being on the newbie board I can admit that I am . Very respectful and an overall great client by any standards.
On my 3rd friggin " date " with her ............2 hours late , hung over from getting home at 4 am the previous evening . Talked about the buisness for 10 minutes , texted her next appointment from my couch !!!! Basically went thru the motions - I did take my dismay out on her kitty though :)
A post yesterday the lady wanted to know how to increase buisness.........I know how you can lose it !!!
I did EVERYTHING to make her comfortable and treated her with respect ALWAYS !
Ladies , Ladies , Ladies,  come on now ....................

I have actually made friends - yes, real live friends - with a couple of the gals.  We e-mail back and forth and chat on the phone sometimes.  They were both ATF (both are retired now).  Does that mean I didn't realize it was a business, no of course not, but you both can meet someone you genuniely like.

Always keep in mind though - business is business.

Indeed I am Friends with my Favorite ladies...  we treat each other with caring & respect.  I think we genuinely like each other.  We do not take advantage of friends...  in either direction.  Yes, Business is business...

Agreed, some providers do take advantage of their clients, as I for instance. Its the emotional part a man needs to control. Sometimes we think we can help them out, but all we are doing for them is helping them financially or securing their future. And what do we get out of it? Usually nothing. I've learned this in the past, always keep it professional, unless she is willing to reward you for your contributions. Nothing is free, everything is with intent. Keep it professional, she'll understand.

This happened to me as well. I got emotional with a provider. We became good friends and went on dates. As a provider hard to see her even when i planed well in advance. She would cancel at last minute for business. Anyway if you start feeling affection, do yourself and favor dont call or email her. If she calls you ok, if you are interested. Make sure she pays for dates to see if she is really a true friend
