Is it okay for a newbie hobbyist to post on the regional board that they are looking for a provider that is well reviewed and newbie friendly or is that bad form? I have not seen anything like that on my regional board and was just curious. It seems to me that a provider that is good with newbies should be sought after for the first couple of times.
to just asking for a newbie friendly provider. Get involved in the discussions on your local board as well. That way, you're putting yourself out there for the people to get to know you. All newbies are looked at with a bit of skepticism at first. Once people get to know you a bit, you'll be welcomed the way we all were.
keep in mind that DC runs the show here with a softer pillow for an easy landing. Depending on which board serves your area, some of them can be a tad rough.
You should read the board first; then post the question.
