why is it so difficult to get a review "approved"?

I have had several reviews fail to be approved without rhyme or reason.  For a while, the reason was "not enough juicy details" although I had written 3 to 5 paragraphs of juicy details.  I would cut and paste one SENTENCE reviews from others that WERE approved and send them in to compare and then a few days later, magically mine were approved.

Now I am having one particular review declined for no specific reason.  When I entered "as quick as possible" in the "time" slot, it was declined because I "failed to respond" to that question--the editors wanted a "specific time".  Well, there wasn't one so I guesstimated at 15 minutes.  Then it was still not approved.  I did a new one and it is not approved for "other" reasons.  No one will write and tell me specifically the problem.

I thought this board was for benefit of the READERS.  If so, then shouldn't there be a little less editorial discretion on part of the editors, thereby allowing the readers, the people actually out in the trenches, the chance to honestly and effectively communicate with other readers?

Also, once a review is declined, it is impossible to actually "edit" it--and it stays in the system forever.  I don't want to keep looking at that thing--why isn't there a way to DELETE one particular review in your own "list my reviews" section like there is your "favorites" section?  (Or is there and I can't find it?)

Thanks

"other" as reason.  I PMed Staff to seek further clarification and it was subsequently approved.  I have another one rejected citing (inconsistent).  I am currently making an inquiry about whether I should clarify things in my review and resubmit it or there are other objectable reasons.

Some members have changed the wording on reviews, resubmit and were later approved.  Others simply won't pass the process.  Given that there are large volumes of reviews submitted everyday and the verification processes are getting more stingent and elaborate due to increasing attempts of fraud reviews, try to have more understanding and patience.

It is always a good idea to contact Staff with review questions.  They might take awhile to get back to you, but most of the time, they paid attention and tried hard to clarify or correct things.

There are a lot of reasons that the staff rejects reviews- to list a few- providers delisted,inconsistant-(meaning your profile of her does not match),not enough details, using disclaimers in your description, demeaning behavior, bad website, bad phone or e-mail,provider has requested that no reviews be posted. If they reject your review-first contact the staff with your problem- do not post it on the discussion board- the staff usually will get back to you to tell you how to resolve the problem.
