Why does this issue come up repeatedly?

It is so easy to have a great time hobbying.  Namely, ONLY see ladies that have many great reviews as a newbie.  Don't try to cut corners on cost, lest you risk disappointment.  

Playing with CL is like playing with fire, and from what you stated, the lady's non-specific response to YOUR ad was appropriate.  If she has no reviews, you should take that into account before agreeing to see her.  Until then, I would refrain from getting too specific with questions on the phone or by e-mail.  Research her reviews, or PM anyone that may have seen her previously for info, if that can be discerned.

I'm a first time poster here and was looking for a little advise. I posted an ad on CL for a young Asian lady that would be open to some role playing, I offered $400 for an hour of her time, which I though might be fair. I got a response a day later from someone simply saying they were interested with a picture of a real hot asian girl. I ask her to send a second picture holding a note with specific words on it to make sure the pictures were not fake. She sent back another picture and confirmed the picture was not fake. I set up a date to see her and gave her specific request of what to wear. I also mentioned I was looking for a "full" and GFE encounter and if she was ok with that and if she had any restrictions of what she wouldn't do. She just confirmed the meeting time and never answered the questions. I posed another asking her to tell me a little about herself because at this point I was only assuming she was a pro but wasn't entirely sure if she was a college student looking for some quick cash or something. I know anough to not ask providers specific questions about sex and not to describe services but are my general question out of line? I am worried that this girl will show up take my $400 and give little in return. I've been taken by providers in the past and it sucks. What is appropriate to ask so i know up front what will be received or expected for the financial donation or should I just wait until the meeting and ask in advance and in person?

Your encounter looks like a rob waiting to happen. This has been said a million times and I'll say it once again, do not see an escort who is not well reviewed. If you are so inclined as to post your question here, than you know you're headed for trouble. Good luck whatever you do!

If you slam him too hard, the next one won't feel comfortable doing the same.

He has reviews back to 2005, but he stated that this was his first time posting.  This board is for new hobbyists, new TER Members, AND new board participants.

One very, VERY slim possibility at salvation here.

Maybe, just maybe, she has a legitimate TER ID and TER reviews under a lower fee schedule.  It's still a lot of work to confirm (match / confirm e-mail and phone number) but the whole thing sounds like a blown opportunity. If she is legit, with prior posts, a website, TER history and so on, $$$$ might be over her regular schedule so she might be tempted to keep a new ID just for you.

If she is legit and you do see her under her old, established ID but lower fee, you should be prepared to tip well for good service and for screwing things up and otherwise wasting her time.

If she is totally new, tell her to get some legit reviews and you'll call again in six months!

This is just rolling the dice.  You have no clue if she really is a provider or not...  or if she's some sort of scammer.  There are just too many ways this can go wrong.  She can tell you anything...  and you can only guess if you'll get your fantasy.  Oh, yeah, have you thought about LE at all?  LE loves Craigs List.

Somewhere in your hobbying...  Have you read the "Newbie Manual"?  The link is at the top of this board.

This just breaks so many common sense rules of how this game is played.

What are you thinking, dear?  In your post, you wrote "I know enough to not ask providers specific questions about sex and not describe services".  

What exactly do you think "looking for a full and gfe encounter" and asking if there would be "any restrictions of what she wouldn't do" is?  I do believe this would be enough for any LE officer to nail your behind to the proverbial cross.  

So, I think perhaps it best to cancel your plans and play safe.

You have the nerve to try to make up your own imaginary chick and expect her to do everything you ASK and request?!?!? How about finding a well reviewed provider, that has reviews, that you KNOW won't rip you off, and then making a few requests??? Until then, I HOPE you don't get robbed, but it sounds like your setting yourself up!!

What were you thinking??  So when a lady shows up, wearing a wire, and her "friends in blue" arrive  at the door and charge you with solicitng... or, as you suspected, she shows up with some friends who rob you blind.

You hear warnings on this board, and all of the different regional boards, about going with a reputable provider.   Why would you do this?

Hopefully you have not provided this person with too much information and can back out of the situation.  Your risk in this situation is quite high that things will turn out negatively.
