When I am running an ad at work for new hires, I get a lot of text messages and emails. Very few phone calls. When I actually speak to someone interested in a job I can tell a lot about them by actually having a conversation. The intelligent people use good grammar, speak clearly, and understand the importance of being polite to somebody who might give them a job. The dumbasses on the other hand, can't speak clearly, ask me the same fucking questions over and over, and are sometimes rude as shit.
This is how a provider, a good one, will decide whether or not to see you. She can tell through an actual conversation whether or not your a gentleman or an asshole by simply talking to you.
You don't know where I am, I don't know where you are... Maybe I overthink, but I am not comfortable calling back and possibly interrupting something I want no part of.
Plus, lawd have mercy. I thought people tried to drag appointments out.
.....in addition, I like to speak with a gentleman before confirming, as I find it more personal. I am very low volume (a few gentlemen per week), so I always have time for a phone call.
I've never heard of a "no text" rule. I can understand a no text rule as far as first contact goes, it's too easy for non-serious clients to just fuck around and blow up a girl's phone. But on the other hand, I've seen girls advertise "text preferred", "call or text, no email", and every other possible combination.
Also texts (and phone calls) require me to have my "Natasha phone" out for people to see and then I have to explain why I have it. I'll take a call in the privacy of my hotel room ready for your call when you arrive at the hotel, but otherwise, I'll only communicate via email, which I can do via my computer or my 'real life' iPhone.
Also, 1 or 2 emails can cover the same amount of info as 10 texts. A whole lot less time wasted.
I don't mind a text for the exact location on the day of...in fact, I prefer it, but you should never try and make an appt. that way. You're going to have to text references, their numbers, their websites, etc. and then if she has a trac phone without web, she still has to go to a computer to look all that stuff up. I have not had a number on the net in 5 years...that's why, and a variety of other reasons.
Also, anyone can SEE a text from you if that phone is left somewhere. When we are on an actual computer, we are generally ready to do hobby work, and make sure no one is around. Who wants constant messages asking, "Hey babe, when can I see you?"
I actually prefer it as intial contact because it takes some providers two or three days to respond by email. I do agree, you can definately can tell alot by speaking with a provider on the phone.I seen an ad once, beautiful provider but when I called her,she had such an attitude on the phone that I couldn't see her.
