Why do I need a hobby phone

I just made a rookie mistake of using my personal cell phone.  However, I feel using a hobby phone is moot but I'm probably missing something critical.  I'm just going off impressions from articles about online prostitution stings.  The pattern are consistent; they all catch the 'consumers' red-handed on the spot.  They only arrest people that show up; not the people that call.  On the flip side when providers are arrested, I never heard of a case where they use the provider's contact list to arrest the actual consumers.  It's usually only the people involved in the establishment.  I believe (but don't actually know) that a phone number is not enough evidence for l.e. to pursue an arrest.

Unrelated to the above statement.  I have never used a service before.  Can someone tell me if I'm covering my ground.  I contacted an independent contractor.  She has 8 reviews spanning over more than 1 year.  All the reviews seemed to be from different users, but two of the reviews seemed too similar in style. I Did not mention any illegal activities in the call.  I plan on only taking my money and nothing else, however what do i do with my car and car keys in case i get robbed.

but regardless. Any provider or pimp can do a trace on your phone and show up at your house or work at odd times of the day or even try to blackmail you.

Never know when some big shot provider or john is busted and the media will want access to the provider's black book. Do you want your real name and personal phone number sitting on a list somewhere for a wife, employer or neighbor to recognize in the age of google?

As far as your car and keys. Never tell the provider the exact car you drive, scope out her location first and if the area is shady, best to pass. Park a safe distance away from her stated location and walk over, leave all valuables in the car out of sight and don't take extra cash. If you want, you can have a backup key somewhere on the car that you have easy access, maybe use a good magnet or something to hold it in place.

communicating with wild girls I didn't know very well--not providers, tho many were strippers. It would have saved me from a lot of harassing calls in the middle of the night, etc. Instead, I had to change my number at least twice, which only afforded a temporary reprieve.

And it brought all that grief even though I was self-employed and not married or cheating on anyone. I finally got my first pre-paid phone years ago, before I even started seeing escorts. I have to say, my dealings with providers so far have been surprisingly free of crazed banshee reversals, but it's nice to know that if my luck runs out, I can cut the ties by simply tossing my phone in the trash.

Does not provide much protection from LE as most stings are in person & one of the 2 in the room is undercover cop.  In which case, you are going to jail.

However, a hobby phone keeps your secret life...  and it should be kept secret...  PRIVATE!  You control when the phone is on or off.  No call backs during dinner or when you are withsomeone else.    Separate confidential email too.

If you someday decide to quit the hobby...  the tracks die with you.

When I started the hobby, I promised myself I'd not do anything STUPID!!   I used my personal phone, email.  As I became better informed, I realized how lucky I'd been.  Luck is not a plan!

I use one because it allows all the girls I see to use it as a reference number when I want to see a new girl. Also, because that way I have no traces of making calls or getting calls or getting or placing the accidental call. I use a tracfone for my hobby phone and it's perfect for discretion, it's cheap and I can reload it when it gets low by buying minutes at any target.

Go to google.com/voice.  You can set up a separate phone number that will ring to any number you want it to, text from it, but most importantly, turn it to "do not disturb" when you don't want to be contacted.  Oh, plus if you go online to your google account and move someone's number into the spam bin, they get a "beeep....this number is no longer in service" when they call it.

Plus it's free.
