Hello ladies and gentlemen,

1) Walk thru the lobby like you own the place.
2) Dress conservatively and bring a clothing request in a bag.
3) If its not a key card elevator situation, I would suggest going right to the gents room.
4) Have him leave the door open a smidge so you dont have to knock and draw any more attention to you then need be.
5) Make sure it is mid level or upscale hotel, without a lot of history of LE

When I invite a lady to meet me in my hotel room, I give her the room number and she just walks in and comes to the room.  There's never any need to talk with the desk clerks, just find the elevator or stairs and come in.  Dress conservatively, act like you belong there and no one will question you.  I've met girls in their hotel rooms so I know it can feel awkward to enter a lobby and walk thru it but if the desk clerk even notices me I'll say hi and keep walking.  Never had a problem. Never been asked to show ID.  And I never meet a girl downstairs in the lounge, too conspicuous.

Many ladies will prefer not or refuse to meet at a motel or motel style hotel (where each room has its own outside entrance) and for good reason. The reasons are because of the exact features you outline. Being more discrete and more anonymous could be used to the advantage of a client that has nefarious intentions.

It’s not at all unusual for hotel guests to receive business colleagues for a meeting in their room. Dress professionally (in a business manner). Carrying a brief case or computer bag would be a normal accessory. Know where the elevators are before you enter and head directly for them. Avoid calling your client from the lobby. Some higher scale hotels have elevator security where a room key is needed to enter the floor number button or a guard in the lobby asks to see the room card. Know this situation ahead of time. It may be necessary that your client come down to walk you up (or meet you in the bar) but dress and act professionally and it will look like you belong. If by chance you are stopped or addressed by hotel staff, knowing his name and room number (if asked) will alleviate any worries they might have.

from a guys's perspective,  I parked valet and they had a guest parking policy where I had to give the room number of the guest in seeing. the guy looked up the info said her real name right to me,  to verify is who I'm visiting.  

are the preferred ploys of LE who likes to see who's coming, so that's another reason to avoid them.

the location of the elevators.  "Enter the lobby and turn to your left and proceed towards the elevators" is great information to have. It saves you having to look around for a sign telling you where the elevators are located.

on an outcall I get a call when she's about to enter the lobby...  gives plenty of time to get to the door.

This won't apply to an urban hotel, but if in the suburbs, most larger hotels have a tower section and a function room wing.

As you approach the hotel, note which side of the hotel the tower is on, then head in that direction as you cross the lobby.  Invariably, the elevators will be at the base of the tower section.

It really helps with the smoothness...  tell the person coming in, how to find the elevators.  It's usually straight past the desk then...  to your right or left but knowing is a huge help, especially if it's around a corner.    

Dress the part.  Look as if you belong there.  If asked my name I always respond with Miss & my real last name because whoever I am there to see knows my real last name from supplying a deposit for me to be there in the first place.  I do not dress, like a hooker, nor do I act, like one.  I am always friendly & respectful.  I will ask the client what he prefers.  Sometimes we meet in the lobby for cocktails first, or I just walk directly up to the room.  Depending upon the special request I will bring my heels & an outfit to change into once in private.

I usually go to an incall.. but twice I have been in a hotel and had an outcall.. Both times I asked the provider to call me when they were in the parking lot.. THat way I knew they would be there in 2 or 3 minutes and they knew I was in the room.. Once I had a ,new to me , provider call the hotel and ask for my room to be sure I was in that room.. problem was they asked her what my name was.., and she came up quickly with a story.. and I happened to be there.. but very easily I could have been somehwere else.. or in the shower.. she called as she was leaving her home about 45 minutes away..

You have to realize that this guy has over 80 reviews going back to 2002. Obviously his method works for him.  
Just like everything, all TER "newbie rules" have exceptions.

The safest thing to do is just get the room number ahead of time and head on up when you arrive.  Unless you are at some wonky Vegas or AC hotel where they ID everyone heading to the elevators you are not going to get asked for ID by the desk.  Have your client give you a heads-up as to where the elevator is as you walk in the front door so that you can walk past the desk and through the lobby as if you belong there.  I have also met ladies in the bar, outside of the hotel and even in the lobby if there was an issue with elevator access.

You do have a point and it would be a good point if CourtneySpark's main objective was to meet sweetman or guys like him. Kudos to sweetman for having a method that works for him but the point remains that most non BP providers do not like motels and will not go to them for the reasons stated.

I don't know the exact percentage of ladies who refuse to come to a motel with the doors facing out to the parking lot, but the percentage is certainly high enough to warrant warning newbies against renting such a room as the chances are very good they might be stuck in that room alone when their date cancels on them because of said choice of room.

Hi P.S. et all. Thanks for noticing that I am an experienced hobbyist! My methods do work for me.  I certainly have had ladies tell me they prefer upscale hotels, in which case that's what I would use.  But when I choose an "affordable" motel with outside entrances to each room, it's generally with ladies who already know me and trust me, so there's never been a problem.  I am very aware of LE scrutiny, but I feel even less comfortable being noticed, or having my date get noticed, in an upscale but quiet hotel lobby.  But when I do use an upscale hotel either for IC or OC I try to "walk thru the lobby like I own the place". Good advice.

I was merely pointing out that sweetman is an experienced hobbyist, and his methods obviously worked for him. My point was that there are exceptions to every "rule."
