I am not sure where you are coming from but welcome to the Unites States.. My advice is being that you are staying for such a short period of time maybe is best to start either an agency or an assistant. I am not a big fan of agencies but remember that they already have a client base and I want to think that they screen properly so will not have to start from scratch like most of us plus advertising, pictures etc can be very pricey and may not be worth it for three months. Once you accumulate reviews and a good rep then perhaps next time you come here you can be fully independent.

you can find a little cheaper providers... Mostly because of cost of doing business.  

BTW, there are plenty of providers in NYC.. Dude...NYC is the Cultural Capital of the World.  You think you are not going to find pussy in the Big Apple. Yes, its expensive as hell though. I'll give you that.  

If you can to go like Stamford, Connecticut you can find decent pussy too, for a decent price and its only 45 min from Manhattan. You may have to rent a car though.. Hope you can drive..

In addition to the independent ("indy") option and the agency option, NYC has many "houses" with brothel-like or massage parlor-like atmospheres.  Those are large apartments or other settings where the girls show up for shifts.  A shift might be 4 hours or 4 days (sleeping in). Some guys make specific appointments, other guys just show up to see "the lineup" or whoever is available.  Several of these places have certain ethnic themes just because the owners and girls tend to be more comfortable working and speaking to each other in a common language. "AMP" is "Asian Massage Parlor"; "KMP" = Korean; "RMP" = Russian Massage Parlor; I've never seen "LMP" for Latin or Brazilian, but there are places that are primarily Latina.  

I have known some girls who have started in such places and moved on to higher end agencies or complete independence after learning the business.

Get a website, TER VIP (if you don't already) P411 is good to belong to as well. Do some outcalls or find a reasonable place to rent for incalls, screen carefully, get some reviews.
Getting started in any business is going to be difficult, hope you have some cash to get it started.
Advertising and GOOD photos are going to get the phone ringing, after that it's up to you to do it right.

Also, it sometimes gets slow even for women with great reviews and higher prices. I know this because they tell me so. Here are some suggestions:

- Get some hot photos of yourself posted on Eros and on your own website. Start with "selfies" from your camera phone but also invest in pro shots. And join the website P411 to advertise and to screen potential clients.

- Advertise on TER's NYC regional ad board. It's free and has hundreds of thousands of eager eyes attached to full wallets.  

- Fuck your clients' brains out so they (1) tell their friends how amazing you are (we do this, you know) and (2) run home to their PCs to write reviews on TER. Seriously, you need to make them scream "DAMN, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING TO ME?" like someone made me say last week. Do this with every client. If clients repeat, do little favors or nice things to make them feel special. OTC (off the clock time, meaning some extra time after the date ends) for favorite clients does wonders with making them repeat. Use this selectively and ask them not to tell other guys it happens. It should be rare.  

- Casualy ask your clients to write reviews. Don't suggest a score, that's bad form.  

- Research and figure out a good donation level given your appearance, performance and financial needs. Don't just pick a number - say $600 -  from out of the air or because it looks 'appropriate'. This town and this business is extremely competitive and many of the guys are very knowledgeable and price sensitive. They will ignore you if your pricing looks irrational, even if you look like a goddess.  

- Post on TER's NYC discussion board that you are interested in sharing or renting an incall by the hour from another provider. Those exist. But get VIP status so ladies can pm you. But you will probably need nice reviews and a website for them to look at to get comfortable enough with you to even reach out. Then they will want to email and meet beforehand.  

- Always include a link to your website or Eros ad in all your posts on TER. That way guys can look you up immediately and think about booking. Right now, I have no idea how you look or what your rates are. Yet you have several posts in this thread. Every post of yours on TER is free advertising.  

- Be positive and optimistic about this despite the slow times right now.

P.S. - I can't emphasize enough the importance of good TER reviews and attractive pricing. They are absolutely necessary for success for most escorts. You can always raise your rates if your business picks up so much you have trouble managing things. But dropping rates (other than as part of a special) is a huge warning sign for guys. So start low to moderate and treat clients like kings.

Oh. So this is not a sudden decision on your part. You are already IN the business and it is possible that you have already been reviewed from that experience.  

(1) DO YOU HAVE ANY REVIEWS?  (What name, TER ID number?)  That would give you a great starting point to go indy.  Also note that if you change your name ("Mary" in the house; "Susan" as an indy), TER can change the name on your Profile from "Mary" to "Mary / Susan".

(2) Others have mentioned professional pictures; you have mentioned "3 months".  But if you are planning to do this when you return to EU, the pics travel, too.  Spread out the cost over 1 year instead of 3 months and it might not seem so bad.  

(3) Are you OK telling us which at place you were working?  (Did I meet you there? ) From what I've heard, 50% is pretty standard for the AMP/RMP/JONY/GC kinds of places, except that you keep all of your own tips and gifts.  Remember, those places incur all of the ongoing costs regardless of customer traffic: rent, utilities, payoffs, ads, lawyers, laundry, etc.. Agencies also take a big cut but not as much.  Same deal: they pay for ads, phone girl / screening, etc..  You aren't supposed to steal customers, but I've heard stories of MP girls getting help from customers setting up special arrangements, not always sugar-daddy, but sometimes preferential booking or treatment as an indy. Now that I think about it, many of them end up going back to the MP after the relationships don't work out!

(4) From the sound of it, you need SOMETHING. Go back to the same or different house. Provide great service. Ask guys to write reviews. Save your money.

Curly I live in Alabama and you can get 15 minutes for $40 for a crackwhore hooker.  No I do not use these girls.  You can get a decent looking girl for $200 and hour.  It is usually rushed and non-GFE.

This morning I was thinking exactly in Las Vegas , I was checking and hotels are way cheaper than here of I would like to do incalls ,  however I don't know if its easy for a new provider to  get clients if I don't have reviews yet , so Las Vegas would be a good idea ?

1. No reviews.  If you can tolerate going back to the same place or a different place for a little while, you can try to get some guys to submit some reviews.  In Manhattan, JONY and GC girls get lots of reviews. It can be a grind, but many of those girls have moved on to better opportunities in the same profession.

2. You should first Search the newbie and general boards for recent professional picture discussions and then post if you have other questions. Once you make "public" contact on the forum and get a reply, you can look up someone's Profile and ads and contact her via your non-TER email to get more advice or details if she offers it.  

I'm pretty sure the picture costs span a wide range, depending on what you are looking for.  The pro pics / cell phone pics and even VIDEO topics have also come up recently.  (See Link.)

3. Astoria?  Might as well be Estonia, to me.  I can't advise on who to see or not see outside the house but the house operators surely don't want you meeting up with customers on your own.  Not that they care about you, they care about their piece of the action
