Nervous Disgruntled Wife calls - HELP

because they know the info they have falls way short of what is needed to make a case.

If on the other hand they do call, just say that you have nothing to say on the matter, and let it stay at that.

If they insist you come down and talk to them, call a lawyer and have the lawyer there.

DO NOT LIE to them.  That is the worst thing you can do.  It is a serious felony.

You have a right to remain silent - use it.

That goes for the aggrieved wife as well if she should call you.  Just hang up.

Remaining under the radar for a while is a good idea also.

Guys:  Let this post be a reminder to cover your tracks and don't let this situation happen.

(still not a lawyer)

I just heard a disturbing voicemail from a disgruntled wife telling me that she busted her husband and that she has given my information to the police, they know where I work out of etc. Now I'm worried, a little paranoid, i took down my ad and not sure what I should do?  Any advice providers and hobbyists alike!

I think she is worried about now being on LE's radar and her much increased chance of being targeted by LE, which is a very valid concern IMO.

If it is possible to only see regulars for a while that would be a good idea, otherwise if you simply have to work, be sure to screen, screen, screen, and I am sorry this has happened to you.

Guys this should be a wake up call to you as well. It's not only your life that goes into the toilet if/when you get caught by your SO, other people's lives can be affected as well.  So do your favorite hooker a favor, and don't leave contact information from the hobby lying around where your wife can find it.

Assume anything the hobbyist knew, wifee now knows.  Hopefully only your provider name.  If you have a static incall, then that location has been compromised.  You've taken down your ad, which is good.  Could you be set up?  Yes.  Could your location be staked out?  Yes.   It would be a very good time to take some vacation & not offer services out of that location.  A lot depends what your location is.
If you must work, time for a new provider name, so you can't be Googled.  If you use the contact us link, you could have your TER reviews hidden (voluntarily delisted) as long as you think you need.  New reviews can not be put up.  If you reverse this your reviews will return.  TER makes special arrangements for gals who need a new name because of stalkers but not sure what it is.
You phone number can be Googled...  to find any ads you run.  If you think it wise, you could keep the old number but use it to screen calls...  start a new number as a "Private Line" which you only give out after they pass screening.  You can block your number display if you need to call back for screening.  This way your old clients can get your new number.
Your name is still up on P411.

I know this doesn't help, but Wifey should not be punishing you for the philandering of her hubby.  I think when she is less angry she might realize that.  Of course, this hurts you in the meantime.

I don't know YOUR circumstances and we've never met, but maybe you're in the biz because a philandering husband left YOU in the lurch. I'll bet that you didn't even know whether or not the guy was married or not.  In some parallel world, you talk to Wifey the next time she calls and she realizes that you're not her enemy, that maybe you have more in common than she realizes (while still angry), that hurting you will not help her relationship with Hubby ... and then, after the divorce, you become best friends.  OK, that last one is going too far.

Anyway, Wifey probably had much more to do with Hubby choosing to do what he did than you did.

Good luck.

a gal in Minnesota got busted after police were alerted of her occupation by a nieghbor. The reason she ultimately got busted was she did NOT SCREEN one guy who seemed really really nice.

Good luck and BE CAREFUL!

that LE could not find out on their own? Just your location? If that's the case, change locations and screen heavily unless the incall is your home and even then I would still consider moving.  Just because she said she did something does not mean she did; she could be just trying to scare you. If they do know much more than they can get on their own thats different. I'm not trying to minimize your situation but look at the whole picture ... What might they really know and is there a way around that such as changing your incall. If you have him more info such as your real name, info you shouldn't, well you just paid a hard price.

Screen, keep work and civie completely separate, change location, talk to a lawyer.  Also post this on provider only board, you will probably find help and suggestions from those who have been in your situation.

I agreed with everything except this.  There are now apps you can get and services you can use that will unblock your blocked number.  I use one because I screen all my calls.  Some of them don't do well with google voice, but do not *ever* assume that your blocked call is really blocked.

http://www.trapcall.com/ is one such example.
