What do Agencies and providers do with your information ? Why  do they ask for your work information?
i am afraid of a few things like losing my job and identity theft

...they start asking for your FICO score before they go down on you.  For "personal safety", of course.  😉

I would expect that like in any other enterprise-some agencies handle the info very carefully-and many don't.....

As for independents-I am certain that Mellissa does with her info just what she has said-gets rid of it-other's---who knows ?

But....that leaves a whole lot out there so the best thing to do is don't give more info than you must and be prepared to be asked some hard questions some day !!

As an example-14 years ago I gave an agency my info-now each time I contact that agency-they know me......it has yet to be a problem and I am fairly certain they have changed management and ownership a few times in those years !  Yet....they still know me !

...is that after having my work and personal information verified by Preferred411 I still have providers asking me for the same exact info.  Isn't the point of P411 to verify clients so providers don't have to?  My P411 profile has my real name and picture as well as those little "verified" icons for Christ's sake.

If I wanted strangers to know everything about my personal and professional life then I'd go on fucking Match.com.

Once they have verified you, then most agencies and providers will delete your work related information and will only keep your name (sometimes just your first name), email address, and phone number, so that they know who you are if you contact them again. I guess at some point, they may delete all your information if you don't contact them again after a certain time period.

P411 has been infiltrated by LE on multiple occasions, so I'm sure you can see why many providers wouldn't see that verification as infallible. Furthermore, if I accept P411as a client's only verification and he decides to kick my ass, rob me and rape me, the police are going to have an extremely difficult time tracking the dude down if all they have to go on is a P411 handle.

And actually, P411's own terms state that their verification is only one tool in the proverbial toolbox, and that providers are encouraged to do as much additional screening as they deem necessary.

If you don't want to provide additional information, just stick with ladies who will accept P411 as their sole verification method and don't bother contacting the ones who won't. No need to get angry.
