Can anyone give me the best answer to define the "hobby". Pretend you are on a game show ? Of course I mean adult hobby. My take is " to seek out persons with a similar interest in socializing with a focus on sex." Please add whatever first comes to mind and please don't complicate it, it's just a question. The term 'hobby' seems too benign to reflect the potential risks involved.  I typically refer to it as the 'sex trade' because like the 'drug trade' it's an illegal black market.

In regard to your 'take' on a definition, it lacks any reference to money, so it's a bit misleading.  It's also too broad.  'Swinging' would fall under your definition, & people typically don't get busted for that.

No matter how "nice" you try to define us hobbyists or providers, we are technically soliciting a prostitute or being a prostitute according to law. (at least in the US of A)

Just call yourself a hobbyist and don't worry too much about the definition.

Thanks for your responses! I got what I needed. I have been soliciting escorts for over 20 years, I know what I do and don't have a problem with it, Just the opposite!
