What about the more expensive ones?

It makes sense to tip an Agency girl if the fee is $200/hour.  But what if the fee is $600/hour?  Then, by your numbers, she's already getting $275/hour (half to the agency and $25 to the driver).  That seems like a lot, and at $600/hour I can't really afford 20% on top of that.

Sticking with independents definitely seems the way to go.

I usually see indies where there is just the donation, or I go to an AMP where the tip is pretty standard $40 (just for r&t).

What is the general tipping standard for outcall agency girls?  Is it a flat amount or a percentage of what the agency charges?

If it's not a percentage, does it vary based on the Agency charge?  I know some agency girls are $200/hour and some are $600/hour and some are, well, more than that.

What's the general thinking?

First you have the agency fee which will be around 100 to 200+ just to get her to your door ... then there is her fee which she will add for her services and for what you desire her to do, there's another 200+ ++ +++ .... so your out of pocket costs can be huge .... stick with a fine incredible indie .... if you still feel you need to tip you can do it in other forms .. posts an excellent review of her (but be honest), recommend her to your friends, increase her earning power in this way than just adding another 10% or whatever....... my .02  hobby safe hobby well hobby all you can be

I wouldn't tip someone who added a fee on top of what the agency charges.  That goes without saying.

I was thinking of a situation where the agency charges are supposed to be all inclusive, so there is no added cost.  I know that indies keep all the money, so no need to tip, but an agency girl has to share the money with the agency, so I thought it was appropriate to tip them.  Or is that only the case at an incall place, like a massage parlor?

The general purpose of my question was the NY Confidential contest.  If I win 3 hours with someone who costs 600 to 700/hour, it doesn't seem right to give her nothing.  But if the appropriate tip is not within my budget, then I'd would rather let someone else win, than shortchange her.

If you like the time you had and decide that you may want to share her company again. 100 tip is Sufficient enough for her to remember you and also to look forward into seeing you again.  It's a turn on when a guy tips and a nice smile in return you'll get with that inviting sparkle shining in  her eye

You mentioned $100.  Is that regardless of how much the agency charges?  Or is that based on a specific pricing structure?

I always made it a point to tip a girl from an agency.  In addition to her having to split the fee with the agency, usually 50/50, she may also be required to tip her driver $25.  So for a $200 session, a girl may pocket as little as $75.  If I tip her $40 (20%), that's increasing her take by over 50%.  If I was concerned about the extra $50, I shouldn't be in this hobby.  Of course, the tip comes at the end of the session, and only if it's deserved.

For longer sessions, I still tip generously, but not at a full 20%.  Usually, on longer sessions, the girls share is a little higher, and the driver's fee is fixed, so a 10% tip is pretty good.

I've found that developing a reputation as being generous (which is different than being a soft-touch) can be very useful.

I don't think I'd pay $600 for an hour with a provider, whether or not she's affiliated with an agency.  She'd have to be exceptional before I'd consider such an expense.  If I WERE to pay $600 for an hour with a provider, she would certainly be an independant, in which case a tip's not warranted.

For the purposes of your question, though; if I was paying $600 for an hour with a provider from an agency, I'd knock back the tip for precisely the reasons you cite; she's already getting a reasonable amount, regardless of how one calculates her percentage.  I think my tip would probably top out at about $50, depending on the service of course, and the length of the appointment.  A substantially longer appointment may cause me to consider a higher tip.

As far as sticking with independants:  Sometimes the expediency of an agency, especially one you've come to trust (as much as anyone CAN trust an agency) is the deciding factor.  There are times when I just get the urge for something soft and warm, and the delays often associated with arraging for an independant make  a call to an agency the better option.

Write her a review. She will make more money off of that one review, and she will always remember you for it. It costs nothing but your time, and honest feelings.
