Faces on pictures....my thoughts

Actually I feel the same way, but I do understand why some women would not want their pics on the internet.

Once your pic is out there, it's out there forever. Your risk is not one of your friends or relatives "stumbling on an escort site", it's a "friend of a friend of your sisters exboyfriend" who just has to share that you have to worry about.

Speaking strictly for myself, I don't care who knows what I do, and I take no precautions to protect my anonymity, There is no one I need to "protect" WTF, even my mother knows what I do. lol

Not everyone has that luxury, and like it or not, we live in a very judgemental societs. Even here people are ridiculed every day for there sexual choices and preferences, and we are suppose to be the "enlightened ones" if the people on this very site can be so judgemental and narrow minded, can you really blame people for wanting to hide their identity from society at large.

One other thing to remember, times and attitudes change. Just because you are a "free spirit" in your twenties or thirties doesn't mean you will have that same attitude later in life. Some people don't want to have to answer awkward questions to their children or grandchildren decades from now about how "grandma was a ho" rofl

I've noticed, read, and gotten multitudes of advice on showing vs NOT showing my face on my pictures.  I have gotten the same advice when posting on my blog.  The same advice when posting on swinger sites.  And still the same advice when posting on just general "dating" sites.

Why why why is everyone so afraid of showing their face?

I had one guy respond to a general dating site ad, and when I asked for a picture he said he didn't want his family to see.  Really?  Why is your family on the dating site? Aren't we all there looking for the same thing?  And I guess I understand when it comes to husbands cheating on wives, but I'll tell you if it was me searching the site and I came across my man.....I would wonder what I was doing wrong that made him go there.

I did have a couple of my friends ask if I was worried about my regular job.  I have the same thought - if they are here, there, or whereever looking at my website, then darn it maybe they need to contact me for services!!  How about a local discount?  LOL

No particular end to this conversation, I guess I'm just comfortable enough with myself that I don't mind sharing.  Most of my co-workers know I'm wild and a swinger anyways - we talk about pole dancing in our monthly meetings!!

Oh and one last thing - if I were a man (and sometimes I THINK like one), if I were shopping for a provider, I'd be dang sure I saw her face and just about every other part of her before I booked.  Her a$$ may look good but what about.....

Just my thoughts.  Felt like sharing.  Have a fabulous HUMP day!!

(Now where is that GaGambler....am I going to get yelled at for this one?.......)

I've thought the same thing (about not booking unless I saw the face or trusted a lot of reviews commenting positively on it). Otherwise, (joke coming) she might have a "butter face".

What's a "butter face" you ask?

Well, it's when she's really hot everywhere but-her-face.

LOL

1. They don't want their family/friends to see it.
2. They don't want to be recognized in public.
3. They're already paranoid about checking into hotels and don't want a hotel to just go online and say, hey that's the woman that just came in, we need to pay more attention to her activities so we can kick her out.
4. For their clients' protection.
5. Because once your face is out there on the internet, it's almost impossible to take that back.
6. Because some have day jobs or aspire to attain other goals for which being recognized as a "prostitute" (regardless of the reality) would not allow them to achieve those goals.
7. Because not everyone who googles "escorts in city XYZ" has good intentions.
8. They worry about their own safety, and the safety of their family.
9. They are going through a rape case or a divorce or a child custody battle and do not want their work to have bearing on a judicial decision.
10. They don't want cops to recognize them.

I have from the start. I used the same logic, too. No one "just happens to find" us, as one person told me. They have to be looking for a provider to find any of our photos. If someone sees me in my civie job, and then decides to out me, then they do. That's one of the things I accepted as possible the minute I took on my first client.

Sometimes GaG is unkind or cruel, but if you overlook his attitude when he's being that way, his advice in the same post is often spot on.

Mr Fisher and John Galt are two more to listen to. The advice and kindnesses from these two helped me the most when I went through rough spots.

I've always showed my face, too.. with the logic of, if you found me, you were looking, so now were both guilty of something, lol. I had an ex landlord, after a yr of living there, come to my door & call me by my work name, blah, blah, blah.. that his friend had saw me & recognized me & showed him(except I NEVER met any of his friends, lol... good try though)... hey, you got your rent every month, I don't work from my home, why are you bothering me?? When my mom was here, she knew what I did, so no worries there.. the only thing I ever worry about is the hotels when I travel, possibly recognizing me.... that's why lades should NEVER book a room using their "work" number, as hotels DO google all numbers!

You don't think they don't look on advertising sites for photos too?

When I was a newbie I felt that way about face pictures; no face picture meant no sale because I thought something was not quite right.  I've gotten over that with an understanding of some of the risks ladies take.  So now I don't even notice if the face is blurred in the picture.

The theory that if someone finds your site then they were up to no good only goes so far.  If that person is someone who has, or develops, a grudge against you, all they need to do is anonymously mail a link to your boss or family.  It has happened.   How much of a concern it is really depends on your situation.  You sound like a free spirit where it may not be a big deal.  Other ladies because of their situations are much more concerned.  I was actually once asked not to write a review because the lady had one review in the previous two months and that was sufficient for business and allowed her to maintain a low profile.

Your photos are sexy, but relatively tame.  So I'm not really sure it is a big worry about them being out there on the Internet.  Divorced from the escort site, they are glamor shots someone might give a boyfriend/husband as a present.

All of that said, you are a very beautiful woman, so it would be a shame to hide that.

But I'll go a step further: the face needs to be smiling!

So many providers post face pics of themselves with blank looks, angry looks, sullen looks, bitchy looks - anything but a smile. I look at the face and form an impression, asking myself: Do I really want to spend with this one, who looks like a bad waitress? Then I look at the reviews, sometimes. It's quite typical that the one with the bitchy look on her face gets low reviews. DUH-H-H-H-H-H-H-!!!

Hobbying is fantasizing. Why would anyone want to meet with a provider with sullen looks that will only drag them down?

So smile, ladies - give us your BEST shot!!

I was doing it for far too long until I started getting contacted from people I knew from middle school and even high school about appts and couldn't deny it was me. And my social group is tight knit and small and I realized it could get back to my folks. These days  I don't entirely blur my face just my eyes/some of my nose maybe, that's pretty much it...not much is covered so you'll still a more than decent idea of what I look like just insert w/e eyes you feel like lol.

I don't want my face on my ad but once I've been contacted and checked the guy out I'll send a headshot, partly so he can recognize me more easily if meeting in public and also once some trust is established, I'm happy to share it with him. I have a great face and great eyes so once a guy has made an appointment and been screened, I let him see it, which usually makes him that much more eager for our meeting :)
