Vero, You are to be commended for your willingness to help others both providers and . . .
The first thing I do when I receive a new reference request is to come here to TER.
If she isn't listed here, or only has a couple reviews or nothing but old ones, I'll then search on other review sites.
Not only do I want to see that she is established & reputable, but also that the email address she wrote me from matches what's on her profile. If it doesn't match (occasionally ladies use different email for this than what they give clients) then I'll look at her website to see if that email is posted there. If it isn't, then I'll ask her to contact me from one of the methods listed either on her review profile or on her site to prove it really is her who's contacting me. There are ladies whom I know delisted here (and elsewhere!) to whom I will give references, because I'm already familiar with them. One lady who requested a reference in the last year or so was totally unknown to me and had no reviews anywhere...... but I found her Twitter feed and many archived ad posts which showed she's been around for years but is vehemently opposed to reviews. So I gave her a reference without any further fuss.
But if I find nothing on her except a recent ad or her own website and she appears to be "new" I will then email the client to advise him that she isn't established/reviewed (hey, not everyone does their homework!) and ask if he still wants me to give this unknown a reference.

If a lady doesn't even bother with a good morning , bla bla bla, I don't even respond. It's a courtesy to respond to a reference request, but it is not an obligation. I am NOT GETTING PAID for it... so ladies... be nice and Ill be happy to assist. I contact the husband to his work email (I Have a discreet email to communicate to business emails with my clients) and INDEED, I WAS RIGTH!!.. the wife was trying to caught him... I knew something like that was going on and that's why I didn't email him to his REGULAR hobby email.. lol ahhh, he love me for that and he's an amazing regular!!!! My main job is to be DISCREET, before, during and AFTER I have a date with a client. and I appreciate if the gentleman contact me and let me know that someone is going to contact me for a reference, so I am aware of it... oh.. a thank you from my amazon wish list is awesome too

I can't recall this topic being mentioned or discussed before, but it has made me curious. As someone who on occasions takes a chance with seeing an unknown or new lady, it does make me somewhat leery about giving her references. But as part of the screening process it sometimes is necessary.
So ladies, how do you handle it? How do you screen someone who contacts you asking about a client?

I am VERY reference friendly because I feel its important to keep each other's safe. If a lady contact me for a reference, I expect to have the following information:

Good point clients contact hookers let me know someone is going to be contacting hookers for a references. Obviously we would not meet because you don't provide what I ask for.. so why even bother?! Plenty of options available to you. I have meet people with way more TS/SCI/SSBI than probably you have... LOL, every lady has the right to ask for whatever they want to feel safe, and it is important for ladies to learn how to properly screen... Oh, guys providing fake information is one of the big reasons why "references" are becoming useless!
Unless I know the other lady screening process and I know she take serious security measures.. I don't take references from just anyone.
I personally haven't blacklisted people for a NCNS, because I screen WELL, so I don't have issues with this... and if for any reason the client cancel and we can re-schedule; I am happy to do it.. but if is an inconvenience for me and I have a location to meet only with that person, I get a cancelation fee with NO issues. I request PII not PIFI haha.. Again, it's all about how we screen... and I just don't meet ANYONE because can afford my rate.

It is very hypocritical to pass this information to newbies and have people willingly give away their personal identifying information. As a former member of the armed forces and an instructor on the do's and dont's of protection PII I caution anyone to safeguard their information. My question to you Veronica is do you give your clients your PII? If I booked with you would you give me your Real full name, real number, real job info, real email accounts? I know your answer to that is no, which is understandable so I'll say that it is your right to not see anyone you damn "unsafe" as it is the right of any hobbyist to not give up his real life identification to play in this hobby world. As you said later, your real life job is discrete and that is the same for most hobbyist. I will say that you should not be passing this bad gouge on to newbies and having them think that every provider requires a clients entire life to be passed just to screen, that is bs. Noting by the scolding you took on a previous thread about "blacklisting" a client. I would not trust you with any of my PII. This is just from observation and your use of these terms. Clients are more than just a dollar sign and chained information that you can take to a national blacklist because of a no show. There are plenty of verication site for clients in lieu of just blindly handing over personal information.

And I know I sound like a broken record, but that rhetorical "would you give me YOUR real name?" question is completely lacking in logic. When you start having risqué photos and graphic reviews of your sexual escapades on the internet for the world to see, then we can talk about mutual disclosure (or mutual anonymity, whatever the case may be). There's nothing hypocritical about it. P411 has been compromised multiple times, so it's completely reasonable for a lady to not take a bunch of Okays at face value. Guys share accounts, LE has acquired established Okays, etc. If that's all you're willing to give, fine, but there's no basis for leveling accusations of hypocrisy at providers who need more than that to feel safe.

If a lady doesn't even bother with a good morning , bla bla bla, I don't even respond. It's a courtesy to respond to a reference request, but it is not an obligation. I am NOT GETTING PAID for it... so ladies... be nice and Ill be happy to assist.
I don't give references to ANYONE that contact me for information and the reason is because I never know if is a coworker, a wife, a daughter trying to find information on how I meet the guy because he was too stupid to get caught.
This had happen to me before, one time.... the wife's have set up a fake website, with stolen pictures LOL, se even have set up a DATE CHECK profile!!! but, I'm a smart cookie and I know better. (because that's how I caught my ex-husband) haha...
I screen the lady too, I check if they have reviews, p411, I check how long their website it's been up (we have tools for that), I check pictures, if all the pictures match in the website, I check the reviewers that review "HER" as well and if they are legit. I contact the husband to his work email (I Have a discreet email to communicate to business emails with my clients) and INDEED, I WAS RIGTH!!.. the wife was trying to caught him... I knew something like that was going on and that's why I didn't email him to his REGULAR hobby email.. lol
ahhh, he love me for that and he's an amazing regular!!!!
My main job is to be DISCREET, before, during and AFTER I have a date with a client.
and I appreciate if the gentleman contact me and let me know that someone is going to contact me for a reference, so I am aware of it... oh.. a thank you from my amazon wish list is awesome too
I can't recall this topic being mentioned or discussed before, but it has made me curious. As someone who on occasions takes a chance with seeing an unknown or new lady, it does make me somewhat leery about giving her references. But as part of the screening process it sometimes is necessary.
So ladies, how do you handle it? How do you screen someone who contacts you asking about a client?
