I am wondering how a provider can use a G rated pic for verification purposes?  This provider does not belong to sites like DateCheck or P411.   She does have a TER ID though.  Any thoughts on what kind of verification she would do with a G rated photo?

A. She wants to make sure the guy she has been conversing with is the one who shows up at the door... Or B. She is particular about the guys she sees and wants to make sure you meet her looks, weight, age requirements.  

In either case, unless you don't care about your picture being posted somewhere, then I would pass. Once, you send it, who knows where it might end up.

To me, that is highly unprofessional for her to ask that but it is her safety so she is certainly free to ask for waht ever she wants but that doesn't mean we need to comply.

Your pic is part of your identity and when you give that up you give it up for life.  

She isn't asking for verification purposes per se but to maybe check your ethnicity and make sure you are the person in the peep hole.

I would avoid.

Since I play in the sugar bowl, I often have to send my pix to SBs.   There are providers who like to see client photos as well. A few rules that I follow:

1.  Don't post your photos on any P4P site,  whether it's a sugar site or P411.  You have no idea who's looking at your profile.  And the site can be hacked.    

2. Only send photos to an SB/provider who has made personal contact with you, either by text or e-mail.  

3.  Don't send any photo of you that's already online, like on social media sites (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, etc).  The SB/provider will probably do a google/tineye image search on your photo.  If that same photo is on your Facebook page, she'll get an "image hit"  link to your Facebook page.  Now she knows your identity and *everyone* you've friended.  

4.  As you stated above, send "G rated" pix only that are recent photos, and provide her with the dates they were taken.  Then ask her if she's using current photos.  

5.  If she can verify you with your pix, then you've done something wrong.  Hopefully her request for your pix is just part of her screening process.  Typically SBs/providers feel more at ease about a first meeting when they have a general idea of what you look like.  In the sugar bowl, trading pix is SOP.  --

If a guy directs me to a photo on an official, published corporate website, I usually tell whether or not he is the same person upon meeting him.

If I feel that I need more info, I will ask. But, most of the time, the website and other info provided will give me enough info to verify that the person I am screening is the same person I will meet

I suggest that you avoid sending pictures of yourself.

If it's to confirm who will be visible thru the peephole on the door, a verbal description can do the job. You can mention your celebrity look-a-like if it helps. You can describe what you're wearing and she can connect the voice on the phone to the person on the other side of the door.

If you tell her you look like Denzel Washington and she sees Abe Vigoda or Jack Soo (RIP) through the peephole, do not expect her to open the door (unless she's a big fan of Barney Miller).  

If you tell her you were on the US Olympic Team, you should make it clear whether you were a tall, thin marathoner, a heavyweight Greco-Roman wrestler or the pudgy towel boy for the basketball team.

Edit: I forgot to add - If using a smart phone for your selfies, your digital picture contains a lot of non-picture information in it. GPS coordinates of where it was taken (comes in handy for vacation pictures; not so handy for selfies for your hostess), maybe other camera info. NO SELFIES!
