Using the TER ID to distinguish providers having the same name

There may be many providers using the same name. (In Los Angeles there are TER profiles for multiple Amys, Angels, Angies, Annas, and Ashleys -- and that is just the As.) It can be a problem to indicate which one you mean.

There is an easy way. TER assigns each provider a unique numerical ID. I use this ID with the name in my "Best Value" list which I post (more-or-less) monthly on the Los Angeles Discussion Board (An example of how I use this number "Ali" is "Ali[4223]").

It has come to my attention that not everyone knows how to view this number. I have been answering the question in PMs, but have decided to post the information here as I think it is useful in a broader context than the list I post.

I assume that Internet Explorer is being used as a brower.

---------

Use the VIP Search Form to search on name.

On the Search Results page there will be a sequence of lines starting with the word VIEW (underlined). There is one line for each profile found. Move the mouse pointer over the word VIEW in any line.

Look in the Internet Explorer Status bar (lower left). The URL of the profile is displayed (e.g., http://theeroticreview.com/reviews/show.asp?id=4223 for Ali). The number following "id=" is what I have called the TER ID.
