hey guys

im new to all this and have some questions. if i choose to pay with a credit card to an incall location to see an escort, how does that work exactly? what if i dont like the way she looks when i get up there and theyve already taken down my card #? exactly when do agencies run your card?

also, sounds silly, but should i chicken out and want to leave, i dont want my card to be charged. i know everyone is going to say to just use cash, but id like to get some insight from anyone who has used a credit card and how the process works with the whole 2 call system. i wonder if they charge it beforehand, or when you get up there?

Not just for the reason you mention, which would be reason enough, but because a paper trail is never a good idea.  Remember, this is not exactly a licit activity.

The card is, I'm sure, charged as soon as you give the person the number.  You will never see that money again.

Use a credit card then you can probably expect to cough up your CC # on the phone, or on line.
I know back several years ago some agencies would send the little portable machine with the provider, and she will ring you up before the session started. They do that so they have a signature on file.
You can ask for their charge policy up front, so ask.

To specifically answer your question, if you don't like the provider, then don't sign the slip. If you had done it over the phone or on line, they will probably charge you anyhow, or at least try to charge a cancellation fee. You will then have to initiate charge back proceedings.

Be careful who you are giving your card information to. ID theft is rampant, and very time consuming to fix once the deed is done.

Charge back on credit card "purchases" that are contested in some form.

- paper trail, smoking gun evidence of money exchange
- may be difficult to explain to SO or company
- your anonymity is gone - u can be traced to company or home
- risk of overcharges
- risk of id theft

better off going to an ATM and get cash with that card.

never have used a cc in 30 years of hobbying but the ATM and cash advance on the CC has come in handy.  The fees and interest rate sucks but in the grand scheme of things whats another 10 buck on top of 300

lets face it, you are not dealing with people who are accustomed to playing by the rules.

Yea you could  hope a credit card company would  allow that latitude :)

When I was in the army stationed over in Europe, an aquintance of mine went into a bar there where girls are and paid for what he thought would be services on his credit card.  he recieved no service.  He contested the charge with his credit card company (either USAA or Citibank).  The operator was rather shocked and appalled, but he got the charge revoked.

I fell for a similar scam over there once, but lacked the balls to protest the charge.

I doubt the Credit Card company is going to report your failed transaction, so you could probably do it, but this might be a case where the money is cheaper than the pain of the recovery.

Probably USAA ; serves millions of military members and their families .  Great  auto insurance and credit cards.
