I accidentally hit submit twice and duplicated my review. I was thinking that the fine folks who moderate the reviews would notice and correct this, but I was wondering if there's any way for me to do that myself and save them the time.

Tell admin what happened, and ask for one of them to be deleted.

They'll mark the second one Unapproved.

If you don't contact, two readers might Approve them.

It won't show up anywhere except when hit My Reviews from your homepage.

It's been a while for me to remember this and I don't want to run a test (in case I'm wrong), but you can EDIT a pending review.  

Once it has opened again in your browser is there a "Clear" or "Cancel" or other obvious way to remove the review (in this case, the entire duplicate)?  

I forget the categories of the review stage, one of which is confusing.  I think "unapproved" means "not YET approved" as opposed to "REJECTED".  Most people I know consider unapproved to be already rejected

unapproved means rejected.
New means not yet approved
