For us newbies just getting a start, what is the most widely accepted verification service. While a few providers will do the verification for you if you are willing to give out private information...I would must rather pay a reputible service a fee and have this done just once and be done with it so when prividers ask for a refferances I can point them in the direction of the verification service.
As Tabu points out, different verification services are more relied upon in differnent locations. And if the provider you want to see does't use that service, and you have no other form of verification you are SOL!!!
Based on my experience, you can expect to reveal your complete details 3-6 times while getting established.
Here's a couple of tips:
1) If you are going to use a provider as a reference, arrange a visit with her, make it worth her while, and give her a frame of reference to remember you.
2) Reference services are great, but - they only work for you if the lady you want to see subscribes to them. It is not a few, but most providers who want to help out their fellow providers with references.
