OK, I did not think this was an ad, but, Ive been told it wasn't posted, because it was an ad, so, sorry, if you feel this in the wrong area. But, I have found this to be offensive. Not for me, it takes a lot to hurt my feelings, but, other providers, or, gentlemen, may agree, or, disagree. Thats why I wrote this thread, just to get opinions, and, start a dialogue.
It just blows my mind, that, an appearance rating is..*UGLY! I mean, who is to say if someone is ugly. Ugly to one guy may be stunning to another. I know, this is an escort review site, yet, it seems very nasty, and, doesn't give the gentleman to many options . Is that based on the most beautiful woman on this site? Isn't it true that what one man considers beautiful, may not be the other guys cup of tea. Why cant the reviewer, just give a very thorough description of said escort, and, then, based on that description, someone can choose to look further at that person, or, pass on to someone else. Especially since this site is more about reviews and description, not photos.
I am an older lady, 62yo to be exact, curvy, attractive, would certainly not consider myself a natural beauty, even in my younger years. But ugly? I don't think so, maybe I'm wrong. What I am is an attractive 62yo lady, with a unique look. Yet, you may look at my reviews, while all positive, I am rated as ugly, in one or more. Now, why would anyone even consider looking me up, as an ugly women? Listen, I am an amazing provider, and, have plenty of glowing reviews on some other sites, and, I'm semi retired, only see mostly regulars. But, there's not to many reasons I would post here, because, I don't get many inquiries. I'm leaving the business, but, I feel the need to speak up on behalf of other women. I find this rating system, offensive and sexist. I feel in my humble opinion, TER should consider upgrading the rating system to a one that takes the likes and dislikes of all gentlemen, and, doesn't make that kind of judgement for the entire male race. Please, tell me, do you think I'm ugly? I wont be offended, I'm very confident, of who I am, I may not be everyone's cup of tea, but, enough gentlemen think I'm attractive and great company to able to pay my rent, bills car note etc., for many years. There shouldn't be a problem telling me your opinion, since, that's what these guys are asked to do every time they write a review. I'm sure given other options, that would not have been something they would have thought to say about me, or, most other women that are escorts. They all seemed to have a good time...thoughts?

If you posted a photo in your post that makes it an ad. Photos are only allowed on the as board and the photo only board. Rare exceptions are when admin starts a “theme” thread on regular discussion boards and asks for providers photos.  

Posting your website link on an original post also makes it an ad. You can post your link in replies to threads but not in a thread starter.

As newbie board host I will not answer your question about your looks. I did feel like I should answer your question about why your post was considered an ad, as that is a good newbie question. I will also steer you to where I think your other questions/comments would be better posted.  

Your actual question/comments on looks and what is considered ugly would be better on the General board than the newbie board. If you post it there I hope you have a thick skin.  

The other thing you brought up is TER’s rating system and why they even have “ugly” as an option. That would be better brought up on the Suggestion and a Policy board.

I would not publicly call a lady ugly, but to be honest with you, you do not make my cock hard.

As for my opinion on her looks, unless a woman is ugly both "inside and out" I would never call a woman ugly here, or on any TER board unless she was being an absolute cunt.

 
That said, once you get below a five on the TER scale for appearance I find very little difference between a one and a four. It's kind of pass/fail to me. Do I believe that TER might consider some less harsh language for the lower scores? Yes, I think that is a point that might be addressed, and I agree that the S&P board is the right forum to do so. I have to confess though that I doubt anyone is going to convince me that "I was really scared" should be discontinued. I have seen a lot of pic on the photo board that most definitely left me "really scared" lol

 
Lastly a word to the OP. This is a tough business, and just like comedians often get booed off the stage after "putting themselves out there" the same applies to sex workers with an online presence. I think you were wise to bring this up on this board rather than the GD board as the comments there might not have been so "nice". GD has very much a locker room mentality to it and it's not a place for the thin skinned.

But once again, beauty is subjective. Clearly you have to have some kind of appeal to make it this business. The choices on this board make it very limiting, in my humble opinion.

I feel blessed to have had a career, starting later in life, that was and is fufilling, allowed me to be independent, and, have brought, joy, pleasure and, fun to scores of gentlemen. This is not an easy job, but, can be fufilling, if you are in it for the right reasons.
