Greetings My first question. What if one doesn't have access to a cell phone. I've read one review where a fellow had trouble using pay phones because they are blocked. Any thoughts or experiences  along this lines?

I never had a problem using a pay phone I always had a phone card handy ...... most of your work can be done via your computer first .... then just explain to her your situation ....

Just explain your situation.  Provider will usually refer all clients to the same pay phone so she will know the number when the call comes in.

Those pre-paid cell phones at Best Buy are fantastic--for less than a Benjamin, no trails to follow.  The cheapest phone is around $50 and you have to add $20 every 3 months in minutes.

If you can afford this hobby, you can certainly afford a burner.  Get one and don't give the number out.

I have a cell phone but share it with the SO and I work at home. There is no good expanation as to why I'd need another. Oh maybe I could say I need one out in the out house.

I have a cell but I don't give out the # but to a special few. I bought a disposable cell for the hobby but be careful some prepaid disposables don't work everywhere.

Last weekend, I set up an appointment with a visiting provider, and was told to make the 2nd call once i got near the hotel to get the room #. I, too, didnt have a cell phone, so I got a 'virtual' phone card off the internet.  Well, got to the area of the hotel, and realised how hard it is these days to find a pay phone. Luckily, there was a gas station nearby.  Tried to use my phone card, but for some reason it didnt work on the damn pay phones!!  So, I had to use my credit card (ouch!).  Finally (I was already 5mins. past my appointment) got in touch with the dude who sets up the appointments, and got the room # after he bitched me out for not having a cell phone.

Hey dude- get a cell phone.For the price you're paying for your hobby-what's another few $$$$ for a cell phone.
