You'll get all kinds of spam.  You'll get more and more as you continue.  They make it sound really good, but most of them I don't even read and just delete.  If you do work for an agency, you will have to give them your limitations at some point so they know who to book for you.

So recently I put my first ad on Eros, and I've gotten a bit of spammish stuff.  One such email was from a new agency offering a 70/30 split in my favor...it said I could continue working independently, and keep my old clients, only working for the agency to supplement.

We emailed back and forth a bit, and when I asked what they'd need from me I was told all the usual things--description, photos, availability, etc...and then a list of my 'do's and don'ts'.
The agency wanted to know specifically what I'd do during an appointment so that they could match me well to interested clients.

This gave me pause, for obvious reasons...

After I send them this info., they'd like to meet me in a public place.  I talked to a provider friend about it--she suggested I send them the non-graphic info, but explain that I won't speak about specifics--at least, not until we've met and I've gotten a feel for the owners.

I'm leaning towards thinking these people are naive and inexperienced (as am I, regarding agencies), rather than "on the wrong side of the law", or up to some nefarious bullshit.
I'm considering taking my friend's advice, but wondering if it's even worthwhile to bother.  They claim to screen potential clients, but if they're indiscrete with them, legal issues could ensue.  And if they're new and inexperienced, there may be very little work.

Anyway...I'd like to have some feedback on this from folks with experience utilizing or working for agencies...

---I would especially appreciate hearing from experienced providers!!!

Thanks...

Find a well known, reputable agency and contact them through their website. There are plenty out there. Don't put yourself at risk. Just my opinion.

My UTF ATF used to work for an agency years ago.  They had a list of her do's and don'ts, but this was not something that they asked for during the application process.  It was established after she started taking appointments.

You are absolutely right to be a bit concerned.  These are the people who will be screening clients for you.  If they are inexperienced or just plain dumb you are ultimately the one who gets busted, hurt, ripped-off or worse.

If you want to work for an agency find one who has a good rep and well reviewed ladies here on TER (this will help prove that they are legit) and contact them.

Good luck and stay safe.

Agencies that contact you through ads you've posted as an independent are desperate, they call and email me too. They do sound new and inexperienced, Im willing to bet it's the same one that called me every day for a week. Not worth it.

agency; called LE.  Why would they need your do's and don'ts before meeting you.  They will probably want to "sample the merchandise" to be sure the quality meets their standards.

This situation smells.

If you are successful as an indie, why do you want to give them 30%?

This hobby/profession is all about DISCRETION!  This contact is NOT discrete!

If you want to use an agency, use one that knows how to be discrete...  and is already experienced...  running successfully.

BTW, as much as I love e-mail...  e-mail is forever.  Can be retrieved, copied, forwarded...  gives me the creeps to think about it.

Be safe,

When I first began again, and went I hit a big lag, I will post on BP.  I have gotten a number of those from people contacting me.  Each time they seemed you be just upper eschelon pimps of the non-steretypical race variety.

The first one post ads of fuller figured girls and wanted to photograph me went we met.  The ads are more on the sleazy side, the ass in the air, cheap hotel type. I asked him about the screening process and bottom line is "he had done."  170 hr, 50/50 split; no protection, no nothing; just placing a few ads taken with an inexpensive camera.(Of course, I determined all this while speaking with him>)

The second one, did/does have an officein the next county, in fact; a nice one that seems busy, and he meets applicants there.  I decided not to work for him  hecause he was trying to get to my house all the time,by me calling AFTER the interview and trying to invite himself over with wine at least 5x (SERIOUSLY). I probably could have had a stream of dates from his agency but his actions made it clear that I'd have to sleep with him to get them.

Well, all said and done, I decided to not answer anymore unsolicted job offers. In fact, I decided to just stay independent. I wouldn't have any kind of slimy pimp by choice so why fall into the lair of one by default.

There are some really scandalous folks out there.
