That LE can do any damn thing they want to do! So called LE checks are worse than worthless if they give someone a false sense of security. Again, cops can do whatever they damn well please. Sure it may be wrong, or even illegal, but it'll then be up to you to prove they misbehaved. By then, the damage that most are concerned about is already done. I mean things like the fact you've already been hauled to jail, your SO/employer etc know knows you've been arrested and for what and you've plunked down money for an attorney.
    Your best option is prevention. By that I mean you never want to be dealing with LE in a P4P situation in the first place. That means research, choosing ladies that have some history of reviews, a web presence beyond a BP ad etc. This is especially critical for newbies! Secondly, most humans have an intuitive sense of when things aren't right. Listen to it! Too many people let other desires, need of money, need of a nut etc., override their listening to that instinct.
   As you gain some experience you'll learn how to, usually anyway, detect bullshit ads. I'd also advise staying out of sketchy neighborhoods, apartment incalls and motels.
    Lastly, do some searching on this site and you'll find a wealth of info on this topic. Good luck.....RR

Vice cops do shit like that all the time and then either deny it or chalk it up to "good undercover work." Depending upon the jurisdiction and how their report is written, a successful prosecution is quite possible in either of those scenarios.  Especially if there's a lack of documentation, there are many places where a typical juror is would be much more inclined to accept a fine, upstanding officer's testimony over that of a ho or a trick!  Keep in mind, it would also be presented in the context of the entirety of the arrest, a factor that rarely works in the accused's favor, especially if you are dealing with  a cop with a room-temperature I.Q. or better (they're out there).  

As always, this leads to the frequently given advice: do your diligence, get a VIP membership and use it, only see guys/gals with a good review history or reliable reference and if it seems TGTBT, it probably is!
