While that in itself may not necessarily indicate the safeguarding of your persoanl info, a provider with a solid history in the biz would not have such a history if she was known to be careless in these matters.
I am new and working toward my first session. I am concerned about giving my info to a lady. Many ladies say this info is "destroyed" after the session. If this is so, how can a lady give a reference for a gentleman she has seen 6 months ago? Surely she could not remember the name / city of every client for that long. Is a verification service perhaps a safer alternative?
We can't, and most reputable ladies won't. Generally, the rule of thumb is sessions that ocurred within the last month or two you can reasonably expect the provider to remember you.
Also, most gentlemen will e-mail the lady beforehand to ask if he can use her as a referrence. If she doesn't recall your session, she'll probably let you know, and might ask you when you saw her or other details to make sure she knows who is asking for a referrence.
Finally, just because she discards pertinent information such as your work #, doesn't mean she has discarded your e-mail address, so even if information has been discarded, she should still have enough to go on in order to provide a referrence.
If you prefer though, a verification service such as Datecheck or RS2k might be the better way to go for peace of mind.
I try to practice the same behavior that she has suggested… if for any reason I have trouble recalling an encounter I will ask for specific details which the gentleman should be able to utilize to refresh my memory.
Of course to have the time to let all of this happen you will need to plan ahead. Which I always recommend.
Lastly, I would never suggest a gentleman share any personal information with anyone that he isn’t completely and totally confident in.(*Remember you are exposing your entire lifestyle to a provider*) I encourage all hobbyists to research the provider they have intent to spend time with and familiarize themselves with her reputation and her business practices. Most established providers are well known within the adult community that they play.
I personally recognize Date-check as well as preferred411 & RS2000 but only as additional reassurance to specific screening that I rarely deviate from. A word of caution to anyone who is playing in the hobby and relying on one specific site for screening and verification….. there is just too much information available for either providers or hobbyists to limit themselves.
some girls think it's great, some don't trust them. Guess it's always up to the provider. As far as destroying info, I don't always believe it. I know girls that have years of email still AND claim to destroy or not have your info. So, I think you just need to give out what you are comfortable with and never expect someone in this business to do what they say they do as far record keeping.
So, in conclusion, I guess I didn't help much. LOL. I'd say, just try to make an appointment and se where it leads you. From there hopefully a reference will come of it and you will get the ball rolling and you won't need anything else.

1) Do something to make yourself memorable to her. I don't mean sexually, or financially, just something simple and unique that can jog her memory. One of my favorite tactics is to put my donation in a greeting card, with a personal message.
2) If it has been awhile since you've seen the lady you hope to use as a reference, it is a good idea invest another visit with her. Trust me, a repeat customer is appreciated and remembered.
3) Remember the details of what she talked about. Had she just returned from a trip? Had she just made a major purchase? Had she recently moved? etc. Innocent details of specific life events can easily come up in conversation. Rememboring them can give her a frame of reference in remembering you.
