Get VIP Access, as stated previously. Absolutely worth the investment.
The same goes for the verification sites. Pick one to start off with. P411 and Datecheck both offer a bit of free membership once you have a member-provider or two to vouch for you. So you can pay for one and use the refs to check out the other before you decide which one you like best.
I used the full disclosure provider screening route when I first needed to get screened, but everyone has their comfort zone where that is concerned.
Do your homework on your choices. Read those reviews.
If it's an Backpage ad or something of that sort (In other words, not from a review or verification site), Google is your best friend. Image search, phone search, email search. Don't fall prey to fake or stolen photos. They are the primary tool of scammers, thieves, and lousy providers.
Multiple phone numbers for the same girl is not a good thing. Neither is multiple photos to the same phone number. Both are Bait and Switch indicators.
Don't be afraid to ask for more help.
Hello everyone I'm completely new to this, I've found a few providers in my area that interest me but I want to know what I should do to cover all my bases before making the first call
Since I'm 100% new to this with no provider references what steps will I have to take to qualify for an appointment
Thanks!
P411 is a popular verification site.
You'll need to provide some personal information and there is an annual fee.
If you don't like the idea of that, you can have the provider verify your employment information by calling you at your work (works best if you have an extension). Or suggest that you meet her for coffee/lunch to get to know you. She may or may not ask to see your ID.
Also, be sure to read the Self-Help Center since you are completely new to this.
It should answer most of your questions.
Searching this forum for keywords is helpful as well.
here are few things you should do. Pay for a month of VIP membership. Read the self help center.. Then you need to join one of the verification sites, DateCheck, Preferred411, and/or RoomService2000. Those sites will give you refs to get you in the door with providers.
Swim
Vets give great advice. On both the provider and customer side. Rub one out to relax and spend some hours absorbing information. It seriously matters. Trust me, it's not like ordering a burger. It's a whole different culture with its own rules.
If you have the attitude of, "I need so see someone tomorrow," you will likely be missing something.
Few quick things after verification:
1) patience now will reap big rewards later. Do your homework.
2) make sure you read the ladies website completely before you contact her. Many have a preferred method of first contact (many prefer email over phone/text, but not all)
3) Emailing also takes alot of the nerves out for first contact and allows you to review exactly what you want to say before you send it.
4) You may want to contact a few more ladies than you had originally planned on at first for some may be on a break and may not get back to you for quite awhile, emails may go to spam, they may only check their email addy 1-2 times week, etc. Dont take it personally!
5) Be upfront with the lady that you are new, always be polite and you will find 95% of the women that see Newbies will be very kind and helpful to you.
Good luck!!

Good advice here. Since I'm only 6 months removed from total newbie status, let me tell you exactly what I did.
1. Read everything on TER, self help and the regional board for my area, and the Newbie board.
2. Looked at many reviews for my area.
3. Got TER VIP status, and P411 and datecheck. Yah, overkill, but worth it.
4. Finally picked a provider on p411 and wrote her the nicest email I knew how, totally candid.
5. That wonderful lady decided to see me, despite the fact that I was technically no where near the reference level she usually wants, but she liked the tone of the email. Many providers do this; a respectful approach works wonders. She went -way- overtime with me, gave me the time of my life and talked to me a lot, do's and dont's, etc. Great time and the foundation for more.
I'd stay the hell away from BP unless/until you know what you're doing and the risks and tradeoffs involved. If you reach out to a provider and she turns you down over newbie status, respond politely and hope to see her at a later time. Keep trying; it'll work. Have fun!
All of the advice here is good. I do take exception to joining referral compainies which puts your hobby info in a data base. My training is to be over cautious and it has served me well in the past. There are reputable TER providers who don't require other provider referrals who will later give them.
Unfortunately it looks like your attempt to purchase VIP membership has failed due to your card being declined. Good news is that we have several other payment options that you could try.
We thank you for your purchase!
Membership should be activated shortly. You'll receive notification!
