Tipping etiquette

Hi - newbie girl hobbyist here!

Forgive me if this is a common or frequently asked question. I tried a search but it didn't bring up an answer.
I understand the proper etiquette in leaving your provider her donation, but if one wanted to tip a provider afterward the session what is the protocal for that? Would it be left alongside the donation? Handing it directly to the provider doesn't seem like the way to go....or is it?

...when you search change the number of days to search. Make the number 300 or 600 or something you'll get more results.

I place the tip in her hand as I'm leaving. Others leave it on the table/dresser what have you.

Many don't tip. It's not required. Don't just assume you need to tip.
There are also many discussions on tipping in general. Search for that as well.

Thanks.
Yeah I figured that this topic has been addressed but finding my specific question was like looking for a needle in a haystack.
I think the table/dresser option is the way to go for me should a tip be offered.

Sometimes, I even had nice handwritten cards with a tip in it..
