Hi TER
I'm totally new. I'm looking forward to seeing if this hobby is for me. But, my question before I get started is... How necessary is tipping, and what is the etiquette? I'm sure this question has been asked before but I haven't seen much about this topic on the discussion boards.
Is it much like eating out where it is mandatory that you tip your server, or is it more of an option if you think they deserve it? What's the going rate for tipping?
Please educate a newb
Thanks.
Tip what you feel like. Don't fall victim to an upseller. An upseller is charges more to get what you want after she arrives. The only exception is anal and fetish play. Good providers don't upsell. Tipping is not required out side of massage parlors, but is always welcomed.
Thanks,
Does it usually say that one is an up seller in their reviews?
I've linked a thread from a few weeks ago. You might want to familiarize yourself with the ter search feature. Find the blue search box at the top of the page. Then you'll see a "search for" box. type what you're looking for. set the day 120 days or whatever. Then let the search engine do it's thing.
Thanks, I'll try that next time.
My guidance has been that if anal or fetish is offered at an extra...might not be something a Provider is into. Especially if limited to once a day, or must be scheduled in advance. I usually try to look for anal and fetish on a Provider's menu beforehand or a PSE experience. Usually a higher rate, but I know what to expect and that it's on the menu. I've included the "extra" in sessions before to be told that she already used up her once a day rule, even though scheduled beforehand.
time reading the Self-Help Center and several pages here on the Newbie Board. Lots to learn but if you play safe, lots of fun awaits you.
I've read about half, have the other half to go..
While I've got your attention though, is negotiating rates common?
Extremely common! However, the common result is usually a dial tone or being added to a spam list.
I have to say, though, I did get a big kick out the previous answer to your question.
My answer is this: Do not attempt to discuss specific acts with your provider prior to a session and NEVER attempt to negotiate rates. Treat your provider as a professional and consider her fee a legitimate compensation for professional services rendered.
Always do your homework. Look up a provider's reviews to see what she offers. Bear in mind that reviews are works of fiction that that nothing described in a review in any way establishes any kind of contract between you and the provider. Your mileage will always vary. That said, reviews are a good indicator of what you can expect.
Stick with well-reviewed providers, especially providers with a lot of good, recent reviews. Stick with providers who screen. Know that they are doing it for their protection and yours. Be prepared to give up some personal information. Just how much is up to you, but note that the less you are willing to share, the fewer providers will be willing to see you. Think about joining a verification service. That will make meeting providers and screening easier.
Go to the lady's website, read it and follow whatever instructions she gives to the letter. Her rates will be posted, together with the injunction "My rates are non-negotiable." Take her at her word on this. If you feel a provider's rates are excessive, move on. There are plenty of other providers out there. Remember, this is a business, and market forces prevail. Providers who ask for compensation well below the market price are likely TGTBT.
In all respects, conduct yourself like a gentleman and treat your provider like a lady, and you will get along well in the hobby.
One last thing: Have fun!
thanks, good help.
A tip is up to you if you want to give the provider one. While,it is a very nice gesture if you do give a tip it certainly is not required. When I get a tip I am pleasantly surprised and appreciative. As far as requesting to negotiate a provider's rate is a sure fire way to not get a response or get hung-up on.Whatever the ladies rates are they are not up for discussion just search for a provider within your budget.
Negative Ghost Rider....my philosophy is when I walk in the door of a restaurant they get 15%. It can go up or down from there, completely depends on the service.
I personally don't believe tipping is mandatory for any situation. Including hobbying. In my short experience with hobbying, I've so far always tipped. But I won't hesitate not to if it's not up to par.
