Hey I am new not only as a provider but this coast, this state of New York! {from cali}
New beginnings are very exciting for me but I would like to know a bit more and also some pointers
on providing, using this site and what people like. xoox

You can find it a the top right of the page near the life preserver. There is a lot of good information for providers as well as hobbyists. You can also read back a bunch of pages on this newbie board. You will notice a lot of the same questions come up over and over again, but there is a lot of good information here. Since you are in New York, you should check out the New york regional board and maybe start joining in on some discussions there. You can also post an ad on the New York regional ad board (once every 7 days( the ad posting guidelines are in the self help center. If you have newbie questions come back and ask here. swimtrekr and his highly unpaid assistants are always happy to help:)
Good luck, have fun and welcome aboard!

research about providers in your area.  For one, your rates need to be realistic in terms of the local market and two, you should try to find a provider you can identify with to mentor you until you get your feet wet. Things to consider include how to screen to protect yourself from unwanted clients, safe areas for incall or outcall, blacklisted guys in your area, etc.

Start by reading their reviews, and you can reverse-engineer what clients want.
