Have been a member for a year. Lots of VIP days, close to 300 for writing reviews. Yet I am being charged the monthly fee to remain a VIP member. I thought writing reviews avoided the monthly charge.    Help ?

So, you should keep track of the number of reviews times 15 should equal your free days of VIP.

If you go to Account Manger you can keep track of the number of days remaining in the area that has all your settings.

If you are not getting the credits you are owed, write to Administration and ask them what gives.

Mrfisher. Thank You. I have contacted support and am waiting on reply. I have 20 reviews, 299 vip days, so im baffled as to why i was charged today. I dont think i should have been. Billing company stated, i have been charged since December 2013. Im stupmed, hopefully TER support will clear all this up.

You make it sound like there is no credit for the first one. Maybe that's not what you meant but that's how I read your post. In any case, a member gets credit for every review published, including the first one.

reviews after the second one was published, and maybe then you got retroactive VIP back to the first.

I could be mistaken.

...you had to submit a second review and have it approved and posted before the VIP kicked in. You then had 30 days of VIP to start with. From then on you get 15 days for each approved review and it kicks in immediately unless you're paying for VIP in which case it gets banked as ps stated

Don't worry. They keep adding up if you don't use them. Since you are on the monthly payment plan, billing is automatic and recurring. Your credit card will get charged every minth until you cancel it. TER won't cancel it because you have banked VIP days.  If you cancel your paid membership then your VIP banked days start kicking in. If you were on quarterly or annual payment plans, that would be different. Those plans don't have automatic billing, do you could just allow them to expire and then the banked days would kick in.

To cancel your VIP membership, click on the 'contact us' button, then
On the next screen click in "cancel membership"

Yeah, it sure does = 300 Not to mention problem reports and what not. I just looked at those, it shows a credit of ten days for 5 problem reports. So I should have 310 days. I have wondered why for a while, why my days kept racking up and have not been going down. Today was the first I noticed that I had been charged.  I had cancelled  back around December I believe, so cancelling membership does make sense; as I assume the bank of days were tapped into at that time. I just had no clue they were "banked" until membership was cancelled. Lol... Nice of TER to have a per say savings account for the members. Very nice option/feature. I guess the monthly membership fee is not a big deal now that, I understand the policy. Good to know if I can't swing the monthly I can cancel and use the "savings account". Thanks to all that have helped clear the confusion.

Your banked days would have automatically kicked in when you cancelled, so you were VIP at that time and didn't even know it. That would explain why you don't have 310).

Anyway if you keep paying and keep writing reviews they will keep adding to the "bank." If you cancel your paid VIP, then they start deducting from your bank.
