I am new to this "hobby" and to this site. I am wondering how many reviews a provider should have before the veterans feel they are reliable enough to call. I found one but she only has two reviews. Worried about LE or other scams. Input?

that 10 is a good number.  Also check the reviewers' number of reviews they have written.  You don't want to see a whole bunch of reviews written by guys with only one or two reviews.  As a newbie, I would recommend you keep looking, you don't have the experience to TOFTT.

The first can be manipulated...  after that I look for 6-10 at least some (more than one) by experienced reviewers with 6 or more reviews.  LOOK at the other reviews too.

hell, I used to regularly TOFTT. If the one review is by someone I know, or if I can determind the one review is legit, and my research doesn't raise any red flags about the provider,  I'm good to go. For you, listen to the previous posts.  

will see who the players are in your area. If a provider has 6 reviews and most of these are from established reviewers, then you should be fine.

First reviews are often skewed in my experience.  The first reviewer sets the profile...  say it says BBBJ...  but the next reviews say CBJ.  Either she did it once so the review would so state or the review is bogus.  I look at the early reviewers & see if they are veteran reviewers.  I might go down to 4-5 reviews if everything is consistent.  Discrepancies turn me away.  Now I'm not all all saying to never go there.  I am saying to wait just a bit & watch her reviews come in.  Circle back when you feel confident that the reviews are accurate.
