They can be a lot of fun or horrible.  I had a first time couple and evidently he crossed a boundry I didn't know about and the women locked herself in the bathroom a half an hour into the appt.

I would suggest that you insist on talking to the woman before scheduling and again privately as you first meet.  Make sure she's into it and has a clear understanding of what's acceptable to her/them and that she communicates that with you.  Then take it  from there as to whether your comfy or see problems on the horizon.   I love couples dates, but to avoid the drama - i don't see folks who have NEVER done this before as a couple.  Personal choice but I don't like being in the middle of someone's relationship issues and they may bubble up with the inexperienced.
