I'm new to this hobby in my area, overseas is a different story. I've been reading the helpful hints as well as the reviews and have a "newbie" question:
Can some one please decipher some of the common abbreviations used ? Overseas the terms are easy to decipher, here they are more subtle.

using key words such as "abbreviations" or "acronyms".

Many experienced TER members stop by here to lend a hand to the newbies. The helpers tend to get a little frustrated when the same questions are repeated over and over. Please search the board first and then ask follow-up question(s) if some terms are still unclear.

Thanks for understanding...

Happy Holidays everyone!

I agree that some of the abbreviations are not so easily figured out. But as I understand it, the legal issues involved with posting a "cheat sheet" keep one from finding out such tidbits. The other post about searching for posts with the "Find Post" feature is good advice but don't be surprised if your searches here end up with nothing but more posts requesting you to search for an answer. I have had better luck doing a search for abbreviations on yahoo. So far, there has always been a hit with an answer, not just more abbreviations.

try just asking on any board what abbreviation that you do not undrestand. They are not all that hard to understand.
