In the situation where you had a bad experience with a provider, and you post Negative reviews about it here and elsewhere, couldn't the Provider  retaliate by letting your co-workers, boss, or family members know what you've been up to?

I wonder how many guys have resisted posting negative reviews because of this.

Is this something I should be concerned about if I decide to post a negative review about a Provider?

I've never heard of this, and never had problems myself, but my worst experience is pretty mild - bland service - so I've never really had to trash anyone.

Unless her sessions are all generic by-the-numbers deals, she might be able to figure out it's you from the particulars.

To cut down on the possibility of problems:

1] check the reviews to make sure she's a reputable provider
2] try to avoid giving her any crucial information about yourself - I won't see any provider who insists on knowing, much less recording, my real name
3] don't post a review until a few days after the session
4] don't tell her your TER handle
5] use an alias if you must [looks like you already got a start on that]

One particularly infamous provider far west of the Mississippi made a practice of misusing data afforded in the screening as well as posting the TER name of the offending reviewer on the home page of her website accusing him of posting false reviews.

This type of demeanor is however; EXTREMELY RARE!!.

it won't take long for such information to leak out about her and once that happens, it's the end of her professionally, and deservedly so.

A provider who gets an unfair review has the recourse to petition TER to have it removed, and often they do.

Also, a prospective hobbyist who sees one negative review against a gaggle of positive reviews will know that the reviewer was either a hard ass or it was just one of those things, and won't give it much creedence.

On the other hand, if she has a lot of negative reviews, she probably shouldn't be providing in the first place, and the hobbyist was asking for trouble by seeing her.

But as others have said it is rare. As long as you stick with the well reviewed ladies you should have no problem. It seems that almost everytime this happens it could have been avoided. If the hobbyist had done his homework he probably would not have seen the lady in the first place.

will not... just as word gets around that a client is not someone to see, so does the provider who breaks her trust with a client.  Overall, the provider community has no love of those who would jeopardize the trust folks must have in order to enjoy this hobby.
