This is a question more so for the ladies however all opinions are welcome. When a Gentleman contacts you and doesn't have references. What process do you go through to assure your own safety. I seem to have quite a plethora of gentleman with no refs contacting me and have no idea what to do about screening.

I admit I'm one of these guys.  I'm not registered with any verification system and I have yet to see a provider...even though I've been on TER for, what seems like, years.  But, I run two businesses so the extreme very few providers I have contacted I've given them my business information.  I was verified once for a date, but it was cancelled due to late scheduling conflicts

and one required employment information.  Obvious retired, self employed, and some others can not give it.  There are alternative methods if the gals want to bother.
