Newbie - FAQ

There are tips, and then there are "tips"....

I could not find this in the existing Newbie material. I am wondering what is a good tip.

Hypothetical Scenario:
$60 - $70 for hr massage

What is a good tip?

(I have left off other potentials of service because I am not sure it is ok to post them on this board. So if the tip varies, obviously I am interested in what it varies by. )

Just wondering so if I decide to get one I don't act/look cheap.

For Massage parlors, the tips are different than with reviewed ladies her on TER.

With those places, the tip can vary from any number over $40 to as high as they can get.   I depends on what you happen to receive, etc.

With the ladies here, the price is typically for the hour/half hour, so there is no tipping required.

I inform my clients when they are booking that it's all inclusive but my rates are significantly higher.

Remember that communication is important to all relationships, I don't think she'll be offended!
Probably appreciative that you cared to ask, in fact :)

Have a happy ending!

Thanks for the responses, but I think the basis for the scenario is slightly different than normal providers.

I have read a lot about "upselling", so if I am smart about taking the advice on TER then I don't think I would ask her directly, since she is working from the upselling model. What keeps her from saying "A normal good tip is $100"?

I think I may be trying to be subtle, so let me juice up the scenario -- what's a good tip for getting a happy ending on a massage, for example?

(Hope that doesn't get my post censored.)

If no happy ending 20% . If there is a happy ending, well it would depend on how happy you were, wouldn't it?

Do a search for this topic and you will find much information.  See upper right of board.

and the price requested/paid up front...

I've gone from "all inclusive" (no tip) to 100% tip for service and extras above what was advertised.

When he is talking about $60 to $70 for a massage, I seriously doubt he was talking about tipping a high end women.

It depends on the woman, place, city, time of day, etc. etc.

There is no way we can answer your question because there is no one answer.

But typically 50% to 75% of the price of the massage is a good place to start for what you are talking about.

I didn't expect exact numbers -- it's not an exact science.

I was only looking for some rough ideas of what a good tip would be for a massage vs. looking like a cheapskate. I think I have a good idea now and the information seems consistent with what I was thinking, too.

Thanks to everyone that provided input.

If so, it's more of a local custom than anything else. Check website USA sex guide and search under AMPS in your area. There are generally some helpful threads regarding AMPs and tipping amounts on there.

It's one thing to give someone 20% or so to say "well done" just like you would in a restaurant or a taxi; that is a subject that goes on endlessly here every now and then.  The upshot to that is that you end up doing whatever you feel is best.

Then there is the so-called "tip", which in massage parlors is the fee for sexual services beyond the simple massage which may or may not include a happy ending.

As Bostonguy points out, this varies all over the lot and looking at local guides can help but expect to do some old fashion bargaining if you go this route.

I used to do so, but I was never keen on it.  I like seeing GFE providers where their fee is all inclusive.
