Cell phones have been around for a couple of decades. We all figured out a way to hobby before portable telecommunications became an essential part of every day life. Unfortunately people were more honorable about keeping commitments in the past as well...too bad that booking an appointment doesn't seem to carry the commitment that it once did...

I had another client that didn't have a cell phone. He told me that it was totally dead.

How in the heck am I supposed to contact someone if they don't have a cell? What if I have to cancel or LE's lurking around?

How can someone hobby with no phone? By the way, the client never showed up.

If a client doesn't have a cell and I have to cancel, what happens then? How do I let a client know something came up?

This is the first time I had to deal with this kind of situation.

I was not too happy, but wanted to make it work. I don't like emailing a guy my incall hotel room number in advance, but in this case I did and told him that if he arrived early to please wait. I waited 35 minutes and nothing. I left at that point, and emailed him. I guess what happened was he didn't get the email with the room number before leaving his house and thought he was supposed to wait in the lobby. Frustrating for us both. After that experience I suggested he buy a 20$ prepaid phone for the hobby only, and he agreed that was for the best.

Expecting to hobby without a cell phone is like expecting the beer league baseball team you're on to forgive you for not owning a glove.

I don't have a mobile and see escorts without a problem. The reason I don't have one is although I need one for work  I simply have a total dislike of them.So at weekends it stays at work.

I live with my m8's so I don't really need one to keep in touch with them.

RE seeing escorts that isn't a problem because I go up London to see them as I know too many people where I live to risk it . I simply call them from a call box near the tube station (most have flats right by them. )It's not any hassle and no escort has had a problem with it. If I got let down which hasn't happened I would simply see another one as it's only a half hour train journey up there. No biggie.

If he can't a afford a cell phone he probably shouldn't be hobbying especially if he's married with children. Take care of the family before you worry about the extras.

A friend of mine (who is a provider) dealt with a client who didn't have a cell phone.

She had to cancel because of a family emergency. She couldn't let the client know this...because he didn't have a cell phone.

He said that he saw no use for them. If he felt like that...why was he hobbying in the first place?

Being in the hobby without a cell is like diving into a pool with no water in it.
