Soooo....finally had my first "date" and it was fantastic. Took me a long time to work up the courage but so glad I finally pulled the trigger, so to speak. So being the neurotic worrier that I am I'm concerned about bringing home an unwanted gift to the Mrs. I went with a supposedly low volume provider, good reviews and I never made it past her excellent BBBJ (so good) etc etc, but there are obviously no gaurantees. My question is how often do "clients" get tested? It's not only expensive but a pain in the ass. Of course I know there's risk but am I overthinking this? Now that I've made the plunge, I'm kind of an addictive personality and will partake frequently but I can't be running out every week (I have a big budget for providers not for Drs.). At the same time I don't want to be careless/reckless, etc.. Help needed from the experienced. Thanks.

but I do eventually want to start looking for a girl to settle down with but I'm young and am not looking for that anytime soon. Honestly it depends how frequently you and your SO do it. I get checked every three months or if ever get close enough to a civvie. But so long as you budget your expenses and I would recommend planned parenthood as they are really discreet and only send results if you actually have something. I'm happy to say I'm clean and really its not all that expensive (if your not doing this all the time) unless your finances allow for it as a couple of the vets on here would say keep you priorities in order. It's called a hobby for a reason.

You may wish to stick with CBJ if you are also having unprotected sex with your wife. Not that the risks from receiving a BBBJ are that great or that serious, but if you do give your wife something, even if it is easily cured, the repercussions for you will surely go far beyond any health issues.

I too am new to this and wonder:  is it  safe to do CBJ, no DATY and covered for balance of activities?

I'd love to sample a little bit more of the providers but I'm also kind of lacking a bit of courage along those lines.

Pretty safe, yes. It's about the safest you can be and still have fun. :) There are no guarantees (condoms break, etc), but you can be sure if you're doing that properly (plenty of lube, leaving room in the tip; even better, a female condom), you're doing about the best you can. But keep an eye out for cold sores on a lady's mouth- that can end up anywhere on your body that her mouth goes (typically, obviously, your lips). If you already get cold sores (something like 70% of Americans have the virus- herpes), still be careful because you can get infected in other parts of your body (cheeks [both sets], belly, anywhere).

somewhere in your area (there usually is). Most free clinics offer free STD testing. PM me with your area and I can help you find your local clinic. If not, find your local health department- they usually offer free, if not very inexpensive testing (but not sure if it is anonymous). They will tell you what tests they recommend. Good luck!!

One head's up about Planned Parenthood, depending on where you are located, many locations have recently had major budget cuts. This means they are no longer testing for "everything" and will only test for specific one's if you have been exposed knowingly. I know the one in Madison, WI now ONLY tests for chlamydia, & if that comes back positive, then they will test you for others, BUT if it comes back negative, they do not & will not test you for anything else. I recently found this info out from a friend who doesn't have health insurance, & was quite taken aback, as not having one STD, by no means does it mean you are free & clear from everything else, lol.

Most who partake frequently get tested every 2-3 months, more or less depending on what they partake in & how often.

I've been researching Planned Parenthoods in my area (Baltimore) and found that they will test for whatever you want -- for a fee!  It seems to be under $200 for a full panel, but my guess is that will be location specific and you can probably narrow down what you need to test for, based on what you're doing.

I got tested for a lot since I had a weird feeling going on down there, but it turns out I was just driving it manually to much and it eventually subsided since my came negative across the board. And like you said angel it was under 200. I was surprised so I didn't even need to use my insurance
