The undercover way

I once read an essay by an experienced undercover cop -- he said always use your real first name with a fake last name, so that you will always react instinctively when someone calls you by your first name.  Makes a lot of sense.

I'm relatively new...(8months now) and I don't have a stage name. I use my REAL first name. I like this better because I don't like being called a fake, cliche name.Plus I don't forget to answer someone when they call my REAL name.lol
I use a fake last name on my email account however.....could this be hazardous?

Guys-would you prefer to know a provider's real name and use it...rather than calling her Voluptuous Vikkie?
Girls-Any input?

Don't EVER give out your real name.  Using your real first name is up to you.  I know others who do.  But don't EVER give out your last name.  The world is not a safe cozy place.  Lots of people can not be trusted with that information.

That said, stage names serve several purposes.  They obscure the provider's real identity.  They add to the aura, announce the kind of fantasy you want to create for your clients.  Or the kind of provider you are.  They also separate your real life from your working life.  An important distinction for many women.  Imagine going shopping with your mother when you run into a client.  Now imagine him calling your name and trying to talk to you.  See how that could be awkward?  If he has your real name he obviously knows you.  If he uses some fake name, your mother will think he's mistaken.  See how that might be important?  And yes, things like this do happen.  And some providers have complicated personal lives and really need to keep what they do private from family.

Isn't there a double standard, if a provider requires as part of her screening process, getting a hobbyist's real name (possibly even asking to see his Driver's License), but then she's able to hide anonymously behind a stage name?

ps~Of course, I'm not suggesting that you, Yasodhara, are guilty of this double standard.  But since you posted the below advice, do you require the real name of your clients?

The provider is the one in the most vulnerable position, not the client.

You come to her, not vice versa.  She has to have a way of knowing who you are.

Until such time as we client put up websites and have providers call us, things should stay the way they are.

"Voluptuous Vikkie" because I would never see a lady using that type of name, but that's just me.

Finding out a lady real isn't of any interest to me. I would rather just stick with the stage name.

I've never understood why more providers don't use a last name to distinguish themselves. For example: do a review search on Barbie/ all cities. There are a shitload of them, but very few use a last name.  A sea of indistinguishable Barbies. Why? Maybe there is some valid reason I'm unaware of to go by a first name only. Go ahead and combine your real first name with a classy sounding fake last name. I don't see any downside.

IMALLIN, is right on. Use whatever is confortable for you, however, you need the security that it would be difficult to collect your real first and last name. Many providers who use a fake name will often let me know their real first name after we've been together. Security should be very important to you,

I'm more interested in getting into your pants than knowing your real name ;)

Since the purpose of my visit is not to be an involved BF, I would prefer to not know your real name.  I do like names that fit you and your personality however.  If you do use your real name..just be cautious as there are clients out there that might get too clingy for you.  Be certain to keep the boundaries very clear to avoid complications down the road.

I kind of like "Big and Rich"

Definitely go with Big and Rich lol.
All of us country girls will appreciate it.
Save a horse ride a cowboy!!

If possible I never give my real name either. I am more than willing to show my ID while blocking my name. Just as providers are at risk, so are clients. There is so much evil that can be done with just a name nowadays. I also try to hide my address. I was once a very bad boy and I know that this is a game. Its about money and getting it any way you can. Not saying all or even a great percentage of providers would but I had pimp friends that made just as much money robbing and stealing as they did escorting. I will never tell a provider my real name. I'm the chef, I bring good food and good dick. I even cater to dietary restrictions.

I thought that porn stars used a formula: (First Pet) (Home Street)

Sparky Main
Tweety Hillside
Spottie Behind

It fails in some cases: Snookie Fiftyseventh.  I mean, who names a pet "Snookie"?

I guess dancers and providers have to use a different formula?
