I finally got my website and wanted to link it to a reply I made on the board. It was not allowed ... Said it appeared like an ad ... The thread was about p411 so not iso. I then was not able to post anything even in the newbie forum asking why. As you see it finally went through but all of you are telling me different than admin told me. They said I can only do that in a reply to an iso.
I do not want to link it EVERYTIME nor will I ... Just wanted to put it out there since I just got it done.
You just can't link it in a thread starter post (OP). By the way, all this info is in the self help center.
By participating in the discussions on TER discussion boards, you can greatly increase your visibility and give potential clients the opportunity to get to know you better. You may include your link in messages, (except if you start a thread, the link is not allowed in the OP), you contribute to on any TER discussion board, that does not count toward your ad limit. In fact, you are encouraged to include your link, because it helps everyone get to know you better. Putting photo's into non ad related replies to threads is not allowed, unless the thread you are replying to is about posting photo's of yourself and other provider's. Just please make those linked messages meaningful, entertaining, or helpful contributions.
...you can include a link to your site or ad in your reply to someone's post. The reply shouldn't read like an ad but it's ok to put your link in. If you initiate a thread you may not put a link in your initiating post but you may place a link in any subsequent posts/replies.
Check the Self-Help Center. Look under Provider Ad posting guidelines. Especially the paragraph at the bottom of those guidelines.
...to your TER profile as well as your website. If I see a provider link her website to every post, it makes me think that she's trying too hard and she's just posting as a form of advertising.
If I'm interested in a provider from her posts, I'll click on "See my TER reviews." It's more subtle that hitting me over the head with your link in every post.
Just because you CAN do it doesn't mean you SHOULD do it.
Bri asked and I just shared the TER rule, but I get the same feeling that ladies who put their link on every post seem desperate. I also prefer the "see my reviews" link because that takes you to reviews as well as website, ads, p411 profiles etc.
I think for new ladies who have no reviews yet or haven't linked their profile to their username, it's a good idea to link the website. Also when answering ISO posts it's a good idea.
I reply to posts so often that if I stopped and linked my website at the end of each one it would reduce the numbers of replies. I guess I'm saying I'm too lazy to type it in each time ... I'm more about sharing info and my thoughts

Of admin being inconsistant in following their own rules. This actually happens frequently here. Depends which admin you are talking to, and their own knowledge or interpretation of the rules. Sometimes you need to send them a link or quote from their own policies. I have done that in the past and sometimes you get an, "oops, you were right." Just be nice when yiu argue with them.
In your case, your link should have been allowed (unless the post really sounded like an ad, and I can't tell that without seeing the post). Also I agree that since you never had a website before, it is a good idea to link your site to some of your posts now, just to get some more exposure, but don't overdo it and link it to every post from now on
And I was commenting on a thread about P411s 6 month free trial. Without my link it was approved so it wasn't the reply just my link.
It's over now but just frustrated that I did nothing wrong yet several posts even without my website link were rejected one after the other last night like I was being punshished.
Thanks for the help and advice. I know admin works hard and have always been very kind and helpful to me in the past.
