When I was a newbie, I always got caught up in how to make the transition from small talk to the main event.  And, what would happen is that we would end up talking longer than I would have liked.

What I finally figured out (and what is probaly pretty obvious) is to just say, after she has called in, the bathroom is right there, why don't you make yourself comfortable?"

And, while she is making herself comfortable, you can be as well.  If you are staying at a really nice place, there will be robes, and you can point those out to her as well.

Anyway, the transition point used to be a stickler for me.

I decided to give a try to one of the ladies in my area. After doing some reading I decided to get the hotel, etc. I have been talking to her for about a week or so at different times so I am reasonably confident she is not LE. I wanted someone local as well. Besides getting the room, making sure I am covered personal hygene and protection wise, any tips for getting the ball rolling so we both have a good time? Any massive flub ups I should avoid? This will be my first dip in the hobby waters.

Make sure she is reviewed so you wont have a bad experience. Leave donation visable. Go over her website to see if she has any expectations. You should feel a connection/physical feeling shortly after meeting.

If you're going to get the hotel, remember if she doesn't show you'll be out the rate. As a newbie you probably don't have a choice. In the future, once you've written reviews, you might ask the lady to get the room and then you reimburse her. Doesn't leave a paper trail that way. Just remember be a gentleman, respectful, and clean, she is a professional, she'll know what to do if your nerves start to get to you. Try to be relaxed and breath deep. Good luck
