The OTHER "well reviewed"
Your question is very specific about TER Reviews and HOW MANY is "well reviewed". The above advice seems reasonable to me, too. The cutoff numbers might be market dependent, too. Some geographic areas just don't have as many active reviewers as other areas. Some areas have fewer choices. If the average number of reviews of current providers in your area is low, you'll have to go with the lower number cutoff. You should also follow your local Board to see what the chatter is about various options in your area.
The OTHER meaning is sometimes used in ads that say "Well reviewed on TER" or similar. Sometimes, for that person "well reviewed" = "positively reviewed" or "favorably reviewed" and that can mean anything from one 6/6 review, one 10/10 review or who knows what. Some girls have the audacity to advertise "well reviewed on TER" and they have 2 or 3 "3/3" reviews or worseNewbie question. I read many times that start with well reviewed providers. I'm wondering how many reviews here on TER is considered "well-reviewed"?
There are providers with more than 50 reviews, but it bring me another concern: more reviews means more years in this industry, and a higher chance of having STD. (I apologize if I'm ignorant about this ) So I always look at providers with around 10-25 reviews with a average score over 7.0. Am I doing it right
But it's up to you to decide. Most of us would like to see at least 10 with good ratings. You decide....

Thank you swimtrekr! I saw you have reviews with providers who has hundreds of reviews. Have you ever been concerned about the STD issues when you see a provider with many years experience.
established reviewers, meaning at least 6-8 reviews over time.
5 (any number for that matter) reviews from guys who have only 1 review is a red flag.

if you think about it, providers are one of the most cautions individuals when it comes to safe sex practices... and that is also carried to our personal life. On the contrary, civilians probably don't know as much about the risk they are taking by practicing unsafe sex because they suspect that everyone is disease free for the most part. I do agree that we are exposed to way more things than a regular person however, we take the necessary measures to avoid a risky situation that can lead to an STD, plus we get tested regularly to ensure that we are in good standing. Keep in mind that not every girl has all her clients as reviewers, so while reviews can give you an estimate of her activity, they are not an accurate way to measure how many people she actually sees or how many people she has been exposed to.

...number of reviews to std's. There is risk everytime you have sexual relations with someone. You have a concern about std's which is a good thing but all you can really do is pretect yourself. Use a condom for intercourse vaginal and/or anal. Use a dental dam if you feel it's necessary. Read up on the Center for Disease Control (CDC) web site (and others) and research std's risk factors and activities that carry little risk as opposed to high risk.You will see that there is risk but you can mitigate the risk by being smart, educating yourself, and taking the proper precautions.

Everybody has their own answer or comfort level on this, as you can see by all the answers on this thread. Imposter had some good points on geographical area and other factors contributing to the amount of reviews a lady gets. Also, his point on ladies who advertise themselves as "well reviewed" is important. Don't take their word for it. Always check.
To me, a minimum of 6 reviews (of 7/7 or better) and at least half of those by reviewers with 6 or more reviews themselves, is a "well reviewed" lady.
Now there is no problem with your number of 10-25 if that is what you feel comfortabe with, but I would still look at the reviewers history too. A number of her reviews should still be by guys who have written a handful of reviews themselves. A lady with 10 reviews all by guys with only one review still could be "iffy." It is rare that someone would reach 10 reviews all by one time reviewers (that is much more common with a provider with only 1-3 reviews) but it is possible, so do check the reviewer history.
On the other hand, your STD worries are probably unfounded. A good provider with 100 reviews is probably no more likely to have an STD, than a provider with one review. But you set your own rules and decide what you are comfortable with.
Read what the reviewer writes. I have seen many reviews where as I read what was written, I wondered why the score was so high or so low. I have even seen a provider with all 9's and 10's more than once and would not score her above a 7. Also have seen a provider with an average of 6 and found she was remarkable and deserved 9's or 10's.
