Mr. Tennis, the newbie board is a place where newbies ask questions, not answer them - don't you think that makes sense? And unless you a North Carolina attorney with experience in prostitution cases, you probably shouldn't be dispensing legal advice.
Jayrobert, there is a legal board here on TER where people do exchange their experiences, though the only way to get accurate legal advice is to consult a lawyer in your area.
As far as using TER and seeing escorts, that is the whole point - if you use TER properly, you will be seeing reputable escorts, and you will not have to worry about getting arrested. You will also not have to worry about whether or not you are going to get "that thing" (you are allowed to say "sex" and "blowjobs" here, by the way, and you don't have to block out the letters in the middle of the word "prostitute", although most ladies around here seem to prefer "escort" or "provider").
Hello. I am new here. My upfront apologies if I am asking a very common/silly/wellknown questions. Would appreciate your expertise and advise.
I live in north carolina. I like meeting escorts/models in hotels. I am very sincere in following all the rules to make sure that I am NOT ASKING, NOT TELLING, NOT PAYING for "THAT THINGS". When I meet escorts, if it happens I am happy. If it does not, I do not "ASK" for "THAT THING". I let it go and wait for the next time.
Here is my question. Just in case if I get into trouble with law and had go to court by accident, how do I defend when there is a link from escort's page to this TER reviews. DA might say "Well. per TER review links, escort is telling that she is a pro.....tute". Yes, TER reviews clearly states that escort is having "THAT THING" with the clients all the time. Does this hurt my chances in the court? Can you guys share your experience if you had been to court before.
At the same time, I am thinking there has to be some good reason why escort agencies link TER reviews. I just do not know what that reason is other than to know escort's experience with client on "THAT THINGS". I appreciate your expert advise. Plus any other tips on to make sure that I am meeting escorts legally and doing the right things legally and at the same I get to do "THAT THING" with escorts.
Thanks again
newbee
There's multiple reasosns why the reviews require VIP status ya know. Ain't registered then no juicy details for you. In your story scenario the DA just outed himself as a likely hobbyist. Lol.
They don't have a case if there's no proof of money exchanged. You could be two friends enjoying a night togetrher. If they have proof then you would probably be boned despite paying for "companionship."
On anotsher note. Dunno why you're fussing so much about what's legal and what isn't. There are risks in this hobby. See the right girls and you minimize these risks. Its all you can do really.

Nothing he said was incorrect or out of place. Where do you get off telling people they shouldn't post here?

I was polite to him, and made a suggestion that I believe to be true; that a guy who just had his first provider experience THIS month, and who has been asking questions on this board for about that length of time, isn't in a position to be answering other newbie's questions.
His legal advice is wrong. I suggested that he not dispense legal advice.
Where exactly do YOU get off, telling me what I can and can't post?
In order to have a provider profile here on TER a provider has to link to TER on the front page of her web site. That is part of why they link to their review. Other reasons they link to their reviews are that the reviews answer questions that the potential client may have about what to expect on a visit and also gives them an idea as to the providers legitimacy.
In regards to being arrested, as stated there is a legal board here if you would like to go post any questions you have there. Your best protection though is to research the woman you want to see well and be sure you are seeing women who have a decent review history, ideally in an outcall situation.
does not have to have a link to TER on her web site to have a provider profile. She may have a profile and not even know about TER much less know she has a profile. There must be an ad or web site for her reviewer to reference in his filing of her review. She must have a link on her site in order to advertise on the TER ad board.
If the provider has a TER presence (basic member or provider limited VIP, places ads, post on boards) then the rest of what you state is valid.
a prosecution.
If you do ever get caught, it will most likely be that you see a gal who is undercover LE, and won't have those reviews that prove that she is legit.
Once in a blue moon, you hear about a provider who is busted and flips, that is, she starts working for LE, but it is very, very rare.
Just follow the advice and you'll do fine.
it seems to me that there are two ways to bust people for hobbying:
1-The hooker is an undercover cop, in which case they are looking to bust the customers. Not too likely that she would be a cop if she has a history of good reviews on TER.
2-The customer is a cop, in which case they are looking to bust hookers.
In scenario #1, the hooker is a street walker so there is a van nearby with cops in it who will jump out and make the arrest at the appropriate time. Then the fake hooker lures the next victim. Or the cops rent a hotel room with a female undercover cop pretending to be a hooker, and in the next room they have more cops who can barge in within 5 seconds to make an arrest. They control the environment, there is backup nearby, and then can bust different men all night long. (They have to make a lot of arrests to justify the salaries of all the cops who are involved in such a sting operation)
In scenario #2, a undercover male cop is in a hotel room, and he invites hookers to come see him. In the next room, again, there are more cops who can show up within 5 seconds to make an arrest. They will just invite a different hooker to come in every 30 minutes or whatever. Again, they need to bust a lot of women to justify the salaries of all the cops doing a sting operation like this. They won't do it if they are just going to bust one person.
In YOUR scenario, you are going to some hotel room to meet a well reviewed provider who therefore is not likely to be a cop at all. If there are cops in the vicinity of the room for some reason, all they know is that you are probably visiting your wife or girlfriend in the room, then you closed the door. After that, they don't know what the hell you are doing in there. Even if they somehow knew your were fucking in there, you are just some guy who is fucking some woman, what are they going to do, break the door down with guns drawn, and accuse you of paying for it?
Bottom line, as others have said, see well reviewed ladies and you should be okay. Don't see street walkers either. I know somebody who was busted for picking up some hooker on some street corner, and it turned out that she was really a cop, and the cops arrested something like 10 different men that one afternoon. The funniest part of this story is before my friend went to court, his lawyer gave him some useful advice... if you really want to see a legitimate hooker, call this woman, and he wrote down the name and number of some lady with good reviews. True story. LOL
You show up to a sting, and you are getting arrested...no bones about it. You need to think about this before you take the plunge and not afterwards. You're already assuming you're caught, and what you put out might just bite you in the ass. There are no 100 percent ways to not be busted, but research and TER were created to drastically minimize those chances. Use it!
Is assignation in your state. If so walking in the door you could be arrested
Thank you all. Much appreciated.
