I've had at least 20 people request my link in 2 days, and I only gave it to ONE of them...he posted in this thread, is a respected TER member with white lists, and has no reason to just "look." The others were full of shit time wasters, 1000 miles away, whom I will never meet anyway so I lost nothing.Due to a recent issue, I was forced to password protect my site, and I am wondering how guys feel about this? NOT guys who just want to browse and never book, as I could not care less. For those of you who have refs, a TER history, and are willing to be screened anyway, is it that hard to simply email for the password whilst providing your information?
Ladies, how has this affected your business...positive and negative? Just having done this last week, I have seen how I can avoid some time wasters who are not going to book anyway. Being I do not tour and have not in about a year, random guys emailing me for a password simply don't need it. I plan to ONLY provide a password to those who are verified and book an actual date, not those who "might" be looking to book one, months from now. They can get it, then.
My photos are still visible on P411 or any other ad site I decide to use, but I want less exposure. A friend of mine was put in a bad position because of me, and I don't want to make things harder on her or myself by being overly exposed in the local area.
Just trying to get some feedback from women who do this, and from guys who have had to deal with it. Seems to me if you're serious about booking, you would not mind being screened and thus given access.

No..I don't care.. If the girl has good review history, I will just ask her for password via email..It actually shows thoughtfulness on her part, and shows that she values discretion...
But that's being said, I ain't paying to see the photos. I know you are not trying to sell your photos to prospective clients, but I've seen that form of business model being used by some gals. They will provide some teaser pics, which doesn't give you a good idea of her body type, or will only show a leg, or a boob, and will ask you to pay for premium pics.
You're talking about a "Member's Area" type thing, which I have no need to do. I mean, you see it ALL anyway, and I would never be so dumb to show my face in a member's area where anyone could take a screen shot and pass it around, thus outing me.

It will without a doubt cut down on the drive by traffic wich isn't all bad. For me if I can see pics on your P411 or any ad you may have, coupled with good reviews thats enough to know if I'm interested. The website is just the butter on the muffin, nice but not needed.
Protecting yourself (and your friends) this way will impact your business...but most likely in a positive way! It is really just another layer of screening. When I first got into the hobby I was denied by a lady because I could not meet her screening requirements. I was briefly upset, but then I put on my big boy pants and moved on. The newbs and jerks will bitch and moan about it. But how many of those do you book anyway?
My general feeling of where you are at with your business is that you are comfortable with your regulars, and get enough new clients just from word of mouth, referrals, and your presence on TER. So you don't need to deal with random guys wasting your time.
I think you will achieve your objective of less exposure. My guess is it will have very little effect on your business volume. Hell, if I was traveling to NO I would try to book with you just because you are a smart ass!

You, and any lady who is well known enough, and respected, should not suffer any adverse effects to your business from limiting access to your website. Honestly, in your case, viewing your website would be more driven by wish to confirm what I already know, rather than deciding IF I wanted to book. If I am sending screening info and requesting to book, then asking for a password would simply be a formality, but would kind of be a moot point if I were already booking, except perhaps to confirm current rate, etc. I think reputation is the key as to whether this will work or not, and as I said, in your case it will probably help more than hurt.
On the other hand, I wouldn't recommend that option for most, and especially not newbies. I know that was not your intention here, but since it is on the newbie board, some might get the idea that it implies exclusivity. If I did not already know enough about someone to want to book anyway, I would just pass over any website that required screening or permission just to view, and consequently pass over that lady. So, she would have to have a presence that would warrant that extra requirement, to entice me to proceed! JMHO!

No, I would never suggest a newbie with no reviews go this route, but hey...it could work if they only want 2 clients a MONTH lol.
...an issue for me if I were trying to see you. However, I use the providers web site to help me decide about seeing her so for someone that didn't have the TER presence you have it would very likely cause me to pass on by
I probably would have never met had their web-sites been blocked.
It's like the famous reply by the retailer Montgomery of Montgomery-Ward when told that he is wasting half his advertising budget. He responded: "I know I'm wasting half the budget, but I don't know which half I'm wasting."

For you I would not think it will even be much of an issue as you already have a established reputation. Add in your presence on the boards there is a reason you do well.
I can't see how the extra step of asking for a password would stop a guy from seeing a lady he was seriously interested in. It wouldn't stop me. Plus if something goes wrong, like she doesn't respond, then it shows I either wouldn't pass screening, she isn't available, or doesn't run her business very smoothly.
Sorry that someone caused you to have to do this step. A bad apple always ruins it for the rest of us.

In your case London, you have such a good rep that I could make my choice without seeing the details on your site. But, I sometimes look at a lady's website to determine how long I want to spend with her. If her donation schedule is geared towards longer appointments, then I am more likely to schedule a longer time frame.
Thanks!! I made sure to give an accurate rate structure on TER, and this is only temporary. I did not really think about this being I just wanted it offline asap.
Well, I am glad I did see your site before you closed it. I am sure it will come back new and improved... And when I get a trip to NOLA scheduled, I will have no problem "jumping through the hoops" if need be...

I have encountered some of these web sites while in shopping mode. In all cases I have closed the web site and have never come back. To me, it is not worth the hassle if I know nothing about the person. Plus when I am shopping, I am on a schedule, and don't have the time to find out how long it will take to get a response

Hear you on time wasters. If I contact someone while shopping, then I am buying if our schedules work out. Other times I am in research mode, and put ladies on favorite for future reference. But I never contact them when I am just researching. I don't get the appeal of contacting someone if there is no intent to "consummate".
20 people - wow. I guess window shopping is a much bigger problem for some of you ladies than I thought. Anyway, if I ever come calling, I am REALLY shopping. 
It bugs me when someone has a website (not just providers) and expects me as a potential customer to ask permission to look at it.
I move on EVERY time. Perhaps because I was once in sales and out there looking for customers.
Todays "time wasters" could be tomorrows best customers.
