Best thing to do is to look at the requirements lists and if some or all are no-go for you to simply ask if other verification options exists. You will get a lot of rejections on that ask -- and like it's a sign that the provider or agency is getting enough business so see no need to be flexible. You'll eventually find some that will work with you -- in some cases just because they are willing to and in other cases because the don't have much business (take that into consideration when setting your expectations about who might be opening the door regardless of that the ad pics).
In general, if you're starting out and want to keep your personal info to yourself you're not going to be starting with the top providers. Just accept that as part of the entry costs or paying your dues.
I am new to this hobby. I have had one date. The screening went well. I have been planning on making another date when I go to Vegas in April, but the screening asks for two previous providers (most of the time) and they want my LinkedIn-- I have never been on that sight. I have a driver's license. That's the only thing ID I can provide. My last encounter was 2 years or more ago, another thing working against me I am sure.
I never discuss any details with them when I email. Just that I want to spend some time with them getting to know them. I make it EXPRESSLY clear I am "new". This doesn't help. I get no response.
Frustrated and hoping a veteran of the process can help me, politely, please don't shame me. Just help.
Hi there! Yes, some providers will ask for2 references. If you are willing to provide your ID, I don’t see it being a problem. I don’t require LinkedIn or 2 referrals if you are willing to provide proper identification.
don't give selfies or ID if you can avoid it. I did it once and I regret it, it's just not a good idea in today's society where data and personal information can be so easily sold or stolen. If you want to see a provider who wants 2+ references, find another provider or two who don't, and then you have those references needed. That's what I did: see 1-2 providers who are OK with other forms of verification, and then use them as references.
