It was not the bait and switch, that's when the provider you think you are seeing is not the one that shows up. Next time, be more thorough with your research so you avoid shit like this. Never agree to a deal like that again. Tipping should always be optional, not required for better service.

I'm a complete newcomer to this hobby. I Just had a provider over - before coming out, she asks on the phone if I'm "OK with $200 per hour plus tip"? Gets here and says full service tip is $400 for the hour ($600 total) but could reduce to $200 tip ($400 total) for a half hour. Her looks are OK but not nearly top level, so I punted, she left with the base $200. It seemed like bait and switch to me. My questions - What would you understand "$200 plus tip" to mean? How can I avoid this in the future? Does this happen often and why? Thanks in advance!
And make sure that you are talking with the girl who is actually going to be doing the session, not a booker. Because the world's oldest trick is for the girl to say, "Well, I wasn't talking to you on the phone."

Sounds like a bp girl if you only spoke to her on the phone before having her come to your place.
If a lady doesn't have a clearly stated outcall price, she can easily upsell you with bs, especially since you're a newcomer.

Yes, she has one single favorable TER review, I did find her on bp, she did not screen nor ask for screening details - in reality I wouldn't have been able to give any references anyway (I'm brand new to this.....still). and yes, she did leave with my $200 and I got nothing. So, I take it that when "x$ plus tip" is offered, the response should be "what is the total", and "are you the provider"? Any other guidance is greatly appreciated.
Tips should never be mentioned or expected from the provider.
I wouldn't see a lady who asks for $amt+tip.
You're more than welcome to tip a lady if she comes to you and both her incall and outcall prices are the same. Or if her services were exceptional and beyond your expectations.

I understand how difficult it can be to see a lady when you're new. We were all there once.
You mentioned that she did have one review on TER. It could be a fake review by someone in on the scam.
This is a common trick of some shady providers. They have a base rate, which only gets them to your room, then everything else is added on. This is not at all common with well reviewed, established providers who have flat rates. Bait and switch is when the girl who shows up does not match the picture. You didnt mention if that was the case. If so, then you had a bait and switch and an upsell!
In any case, the best way to avoid this is to see well reviewed ladies. Get VIP membership here. It is only 30 bucks a month. It would have paid for itself many times over already! When you have VIP, search reviews for your area. Look for ladies with at least 5 good reviews. Look for at least half of those to be from guys who have 5 or more reviews themselves. Read the reviews to see what you can expect from the lady as far as services and rates. Most of the good ladies will have all inclusive flat rates. There will be no upselling.
You can find ladies right here on TER on the ad boards and through review searches. However, if you look for ladies elsewhere, (eros, backpage etc.) you should still check if they have reviews here. (or on some other reputable review sites which cant be mentioned here)
Read the self help center on this board. You can find it at the top of the page near the life preserver. Read back a bunch of pages on this newbie board also. You will see many questions come up over and over again. Especially regarding screening and verification.
Chalk this experience up to a lesson learned. You may have lost 200 bucks, but it could have been worse. You could have been beaten, robbed, or arrested.
Get VIP, read the reviews, read the self help center, read the boards, then try again. I am sure your next experience will be a positve one if you follow those guidelines. Good Luck.

the only exception is Greek seems to be always an extra bill for those who offer it. A FS gal will often adverize GFE. A FS gal should not be demanding tips...
Massage gals are different where one pays for a massage.... termed FBSM... (Full Body Sensual Massage) or body rub. Usually a HJ is included. Some but not all will offer additional extras after they get to know you. You should expect to tip for these extras. Typically, in my area, a FBSM with extras up to FS... will about equal a FS gal in cost. But the experience is different, being more ME centered.
