You are correct in that moderators'  names used to be in red. However there are no moderators since February of 2012. Swimtrekr is the "host" of the newbie board, not a moderator. (he used to be the mod before the change) A host has no moderation powers. Pretty much all he has is his name in red. He is also the only host on any TER board. The only other name in red now is when "Discussion Board Admin" posts.
